Hey, I like those tasty dips, I just wish I was fast/smart enough to catch them! :) Always good to sell high and then pick up more on a dip. Still kicking myself for not selling at £4 last year and catching that tasty £1.8 dip. Could have doubled my shares right there.
Your post is the only one I can see in a sea of green! :) Just kidding, but its not far off. Please someone make a separate forum for these armchair generals and politicians.
Roxy, good point share price usually drops after dividend. I wonder if it will recover quickly. I know it was just a brief spike, but only 3 days ago on 23rd Poly spiked above 260 briefly. Risky stuff. Hard to say what the best course of action is.
So tempting to take the advice of others and trade elsewhere to come back for more Poly shares. Persimmon ex divi is coming up on 16th June, very tempting to pick up 10%. The only thing holding me back is, Poly has to move by only 26p to wipe out that 10% gain elsewhere. So I think I'll stay here hoping for a surprise jump.

I smell a rat. This is media induced panic, oh no the world will starve because of Ukraine. Fake news. Its easy enough to look up world wheat production by county, Ukraine produces only 3%. What a joke. Funny how all the media outlets are signing from the same hymn sheet.
Thanks very much Newdealz, thats good to know! Its a relief to not have to report anything. I never had to do those self assessment forms before. Makes sense, only 20k can stay in there, the rest has to come out.
Thanks Jotom! Great stuff, hard to believe! I'll read up more about it. I managed to shift all my Poly into and ISA, only lost around £60, spread is really tight today luckily.
so on a non-war topic, sorry to go off topic ;) If 20k of shares inside an ISA magically grows to 100K, and I sell those to get the cash out, all that gain is tax free? Is that right? No need to tell HMRC? Thanks

I have the non-ISA version. My mistake, I have been investing for 2 years only now found out about ISA. Ooops. Bad mistake if this goes ballistic. I'll have to pay a lot in CGT
