It's still a sea of sells
With 2.20 high and a 1.30 low on top of yesterday - I don't think anyone can call this. It's as likely to hit one again as the other - except the MMs AND I think they're going to keep a lid on this for as long as they can. It's going to need a big dip or positive news to get me back in
Good find Wildfire - The company says that their NCYT testing kits will work on 'others' testing 'platforms' which definately gives them an edge over all.
Novacyt says its test is quicker but also more cost effective because it can be used on various testing platforms.
“We design our reagents to run on as many of the open instrument platforms that there are in the market".
Ye well good luck with that. Pigs might fly etc etc
I think his needs a RNS for it to have much more legs from this level, suspect it will hover for a while until that happens - watch your stop losses if you have them
I think there's more to come.
The WHO have said their emphasis is on 'testing'. The kits that have been made/distributed to date don't add up to anything like what's required and when China says there's been less reported cases this is just from the people they can monitor - it doesn't begin to those who haven't yet shown the symptoms. When all is said and done the testing will go on for a long time as it's the only true early indication they have to accurately monitor the virus.
Someone posted a link from ii last week and I took an extract from it and posted the comment that said that Novacyt could make more out of this than the big drug companies if they get their marketing right.
Seems like a captive audience to me but you can be sure there's enough effort going into beating this virus that Novacyt will do very well - they've got the specific 'test', global partners and everyone's attention -
I've no idea how high this will go but I'm staying put and expect new highs this coming week because of the above.
That's always been my take on this Comek2 - these test 'kits' can be used in the field where there are no medical facilities but they will also need the test reading equipment on every location where-ever tests are to be carried out.
Good 'posts' tonight.
Re Jarv55's Link - Yes AngelMarbles M ~ it's Good confirmation of what we believe to be the case and you're right - there's a lot more to Novacyt than Coronavirus.
3 bullet points
1. . . .Novacyt’s unique selling point is professed ability to differentiate the 2019 strain of coronavirus, where other tests “may react to other related species giving rise to a false diagnosis.”
2. . . the opportunity for this and other companies is very real given a chief risk is coronavirus symptoms not appearing for up to 14 days, during which time an infected person can pass it on. A worse-case scenario, therefore, is February unfolding with exponentially more cases if those few diagnosed/quarantined outside of China prove to be just the tip of an iceberg of infection now being spread through the travel system.
3. . . . . if Novacyt can hit the spot with its marketing, then it stands a better chance of boosting intrinsic value than the multi-billion-dollar US drugs companies .
Now wouldn't that be nice!
OLAY . . . .
Good find Youngbuck87 - and of course Primer design is owned by Novacyt and as I said earlier these people know what they're doing.
It's not the MMs it's the sellers... Hey Gizzard you're spot on! Unfortunately there's no known cure for Lemmings. Maybe we could bet NCYT working on it? The mm's would starve if they weren't fed
What's all the panic anyway? NCYT are just loaded with the expertise to help & make the difference in this current world wide coronavirus situation and the virus isn't about to disappear anytime soon.
IMO this is a total game changer for this very together company but it's not as if they're not on the up anyway.
I'm off for a well earned cuppa after some decorating - will check in later to do a Lemming count but you gotta to be bonkers if you don't recognise the massive potential here - it don't need ramping, unfortunately the virus will do it all.

Yep - the mm's are doing what they do best - relieving the Lemmings of their cash after messing with their minds just before they jump of the cliff. You'd think David Attenborough would make a programme about it!
