Vesterled (pipeline) should be back tomorrow hopefully," said a UK gas trader. * Gas supply from Norway to Britain dropped to 23 million cubic metres per day, 66 mcm lower than Wednesday, as the Troll field, Norway's largest, and the Kollsnes gas processing plant undergo maintenance. * As a result, the Langeled pipeline is fully shut, joining Vesterled which was also out of service on Thursday. The only pipeline delivering gas to Britain is FLAGS at the moment.

Completion of the FEED phase by Costain and DEEP Kbb hopefully end of Sept and the company have until Dec to utilise EU grant money so looking good here. The proposed construction consists of 8 salt caverns - if the company proceed to build say the first 2 to start with allowing them to store gas more quickly and start making money then hopefully 2021.....a lot of failings under the previous bod nothing but huge upside here with hopefully further milestone announcements to come :)

Nice try but I think you'll find the suitability of the Permian salt is not and has never been in question. The delay for the last few years is simple.....funding and the last bod who thankfully were kicked out last year. Onwards and upwards from here things are finally happening!

Spud is right that Islandmagee is good to go here....Jellum the planning consents and Environmental impact assessments that were diligently carried out previously cover the construction of the whole project NOT just the well which was drilled in 2015 as part of the Concept Evaluation report to obtain core samples from the Permian salt bed. The well is just a very small part of it! Additionally Islandmagee was granted a storage licence. So in a nutshell there are no planning issues as they've already been addressed Jellum...
