All current trends point toward tightening of gas markets and increased volatility as Rough winds down and our over reliance on Imports is laid bare. Storage doesn't just smooth out spikes in prices but also provides physical security of gas supplies which can be called on at a moment's notice. At times of peak demand storage is instrumental in helping to keep the lights on when other gas supplies via pipelines are either at max capacity or suffering from outages of which there have been many over the last few months. The phrases 'strategic asset' and 'national importance' certainly ring true here.

Very true spud....past is the past the price is a bargain here especially with the FEED underway. The FEED alone as it progresses should add a lot of value and the project will have much more appeal with regards to interested lenders and major gas players here. Imo the old bod tried to put too many fingers in different pies and missed chance after chance to commence the FEED......something which has taken over 10yrs to make happen and only under a new bod. An awful lot of money wasted imo....at least the new bod have a decent chance to make this happen and the recent announcements show they mean business with the FEED and beyond.

I would certainly agree with the point regarding director buys (or lack of to date) I find this disappointing and has to change imo. They can't use the excuse of being inside forever. I would have much preferred them to have actually put their hands in pockets and bought some instead of the options the directors granted themselves back in feb I think it was......TTP no problem my average is 0.38...not bad considering I have had Infa shares since the requisition days!!

Hmmm........there is no issue with my optimism here.....it is based on my research along with relevant posts and tweets which back up the story of the need for Infa which I don't have to share but I do.....I could be wildly negative all the time and get shouted down by other posters for de-ramping so I could perhaps try and add more at a cheaper price on top of the 31.5M shares I have here but I don't for 2 reasons.....firstly it's not me to do that and secondly I have no reason to be negative here. Some already are bored of the lack of news....this is a gas storage project NOT the construction of a single storey extension! A lot at stake here and I'm sure the bod are working tirelessly to achieve more milestone results for Infa!

Don't stress it will happen - when they release more news further interviews will likely follow - news could land anytime though too risky to trade imo - a lot of lth's have waited month's for thing's to start moving from the low of 0.24p - not the end of the world if we have to wait another couple of weeks especially if we know the fundamentals of the project and have researched thoroughly...

The above shows that half of the recent gas storage injections since 20th May have been wiped out due to recent unexpected withdrawals. This is partly due to virtually 0% output from wind power ........ @UK_WindEnergy 54m UK National Grid: #Wind is currently generating 0.05GW (0.17%) out of a total of 31.05GW .............. just goes to show how intermittent and unreliable renewable energy can sometimes be. To get gas storage levels back to normal levels ready for the next winter constant injections would be required to take it from just over 4,000 Gwh to 13,000 Gwh. We're likely to enter the next winter short from the start if withdrawals on and off at this time of year continue.

I can't foresee any - the FEED phase itself should be just a formality imo - previous studies on the permian salt layer 1,300M below ground (which covers a huge area) and the well drilling in 2015 to obtain core samples will all have formed part of the Concept Evaluation report. This has never been released but one would assume the CE report to be positive otherwise so much time, effort and money wouldn't have been invested to get to where we are if not. We also have all planning consents and permits in place as well as local support for the project because at the end of the day it will generate jobs and revenue for the N.I economy. There is also the dilemma gas markets have in relation to insufficient gas storage space making the market pretty tight at times and the volatility a lack of storage creates. This is a situation that looks certain to become more serious especially given that overall gas demand is set to keep rising so the need for the project is certainly greater now than ever. I therefore think investment in Infa to allow it's construction is inevitable and why I believe there will have been dialogue with a number of interested parties already. Any major lender will obviously see that not only the business case has been met but that they also have the protection of two thirds of the lending and interest on the lending being guaranteed by the govt under the UKGS. Imo with all 8 caverns constructed a potential £25M-£30M annual profit is possible if several cycles during the year occur and taking into the typical spread difference between summer and winter gas prices. So as far as I'm concerned the business case stacks up but also the extra security of supply the facility will provide means it should more than pay for itself within 5 yrs of operation. Don't forget the estimated life of the facility was recently confirmed in an RNS to be now 40yrs not 20yrs!! That is a BIG revision that some here seemed to have overlooked. So absolutely I foresee no problems here going forward now the FEED is finally well underway!

Certainly £40M-£60M should a buyout occur post FEED or at least £30M once full construction commences building to £100M+ once construction nears completion....
