Putting out an update just for the sake of it to confirm what we already know and just to stop people whinging - No I wouldn't want that but what I would like is a material operational update. The sort of update that will have meat on the bones and be well received by the market. That I would be very much in favour of.

If some of you are worried that no work is ongoing then I suggest you listen to the podcast as it's quite clear that they are using tried and trusted contractor's over there in the US right now.
Infact he confirms that since a week prior to the podcast that work is actively ongoing in the field in the MJ and RH areas regarding drilling and trenching.
Perhaps some of you haven't actually listened to it ffs!

The only criticism I have of Great Western is that they have placed on I think 4 occasions since the board shake up last Nov. Considering the discount with each placing, with hindsight they would have been better raising one large amount of money and have been fully funded for 2020 from the start. This would have actually been better for the share price as it would have allowed it to return perhaps back to the 0.3p area, however each time it looks to be starting to break away bang goes another placing which is mainly the reason for where it is currently.
However that being said back in Nov no company could ever have envisaged Covid-19 and it's long lasting effects. But the fact remains that compared to many other micro cap listed companies we are in a strong cash position given the dire state of the equity markets and the unfavourable conditions of lending money currently. At least Great Western have raised via traditional methods of an equity raise as opposed to smoke and mirrors death spiral financing. It's also worth noting that the company have absolutely no debt.
An added bonus which should add further value to the company is the Olympic project acquisition which some of the placing funds have been set aside for.
Things are certainly progressing with US personnel on the ground who are highly regarded and trusted by the bod. The assets will speak for themselves once the company are in a position to update the market with something material.
One thing I expect to see in the next week or 2 are pictures of ongoing work with perhaps the mobile light drilling rig, further sampling and actual drilling leading us nicely towards leaching of the heaps. I do find it strange that the rogue Twitter account which sprung up last week purportedly from someone on the ground was mentioning about Trafalgar Hill being good which is on the Olympic site plus the fact they claim news isn't far away. Whether this is someone dicking around or genuinely someone on the ground with a heads up remains to be seen.

If I was the CEO or indeed the chairman of Great Western, right now I'd be concentrating on taking full advantage of the medium term bullish prices by accelerating operations to extract both gold and silver from the tailings asap!
Even in their own words the money they now have will allow them to accelerate work on the ground.
There is no doubt that confirmation by the company about what is actually going on in the field with more detail will help boost sentiment and the share price massively as hardly anything is priced in at the moment.

I see gold has passed the $2,050 mark, now that's a first! We're into uncharted territory here with no indication that the bullrun will stop certainly not in the medium term.

Absolutely not. Not at this stage anyhow but maybe further down the line when the company have significantly increased the value of the company and can then sell it at a premium.
The company are in a position now especially given the price of gold where they are in a good enough financial position to start production of gold and silver from rich soil heaps and generate real revenue for the first time in it's history.
Personally I believe that a JV with another big miner is more on the cards than a buyout

On the flipside they'd also have to RNS anything negative that would materially affect the share price and they haven't.
We all know what sort of positive newsflow to expect in the short term - it's there in the RNS's and presentation plus the recent podcast. Just a case of keeping the faith and being thankful that the company is in a much stronger position than 12 months ago. Add in the gold prices and if they remain bullish then the revenue will increase substantially when production does start. You're either in or you're not and I have a front row seat ready for the fireworks haha

Funny thing indeed AIM, thought it might have closed up today but not to worry I think PR and newsflow from the company are not far away. Trouble is we can say it about the gold as many times as people like but ultimately the market will want to see it in black and white. Looking forward to the next few weeks here....

From looking at the trading that's been going on over last few days and given the more positive feel about the company financially and with their current strategy as well as current gold prices, I'll stick my neck out and say that this is the higher low and should see this head up from this level. So should finish blue today.

Noticed tradedesk has gone awfully quiet. They're now ramping the hell out of EDL haha. Probably sold out onto the next ramp. Doesn't matter though....all good here with or without the rampers. Glad I topped up this morning instead of a few days ago at a much better price thanks to the lemmings that sold

6 months ago when gold dropped to $1,500 I don't think anyone would have believed you if you'd told people that gold would almost touch $2,000 in July. In the current climate anything is possible right now

I disagree. $20k was a figure quoted recently which I do think is pie in the sky and would not stay there long if it ever reached that but medium term $4k is easily achievable.
