Ah yes the Eriogonum Inflatum. Certainly no wives tale or legendary myth. Been looking into it this weekend and there's definitely truth like you say chisler in the likelihood of gold deposits beneath the plants as they like high mineralised soil with a touch of sulphur.
And just look where they are trenching right now. Well when I say right now they may even have finished it at Rockhouse as the latest RNS confirming the gold find last week stated they hoped to complete the trenching there by end of the week just gone. Perhaps an RNS or 2 this week?

From where I'm looking there is only one person on this bb who is causing arguments because they are constantly ramping then deramping and vice versa and not only do they look silly but they understandably get pulled up about it. This person knows who they are.

Other than that the bb is generally full of decent long term holders and newbies who just want to see the company succeed. Unfortunately exploring for precious metals is labour intensive and very expensive. The company have spent a lot of money to get to this stage and ultimately further down the line the funds used to prove up the copper will pay off. But in the mean time the company quite rightly are concentrating on potential short term revenue generation to deliver value for shareholders and make Great Western an attractive proposition for a JV.

I don't get you Tom. One minute you say more cash needed by xmas and that it will be suspicious if the SP doesn't go up soon and then in another post you're saying big movement expected in the SP in next 2 weeks?
As for the current bod (not the previous one I hasten to add) I think they have done a great job. I think in a couple of years this could be a £50M - £100M mcap company.

By Christmas time they will be generating actual revenue so this will cover some of the costs. Even without that Tom they shouldn't need to raise until well into Q1 2021 if at all if gold production goes to plan.
The only reason the share price would drop now is if they don't deliver on the ground. Simple.
I believe from what I've seen so far that they will. In spades (excuse the pun).
Maybe time for you to buy your 20M back that you sold Tom at 0.09-0.10 if you haven't done already!

Hi chisler, looks like we're right in the thick of it then as there's lots of the desert trumpet plants right next to the trenching in each picture.
The question now is not if they find gold but HOW MUCH. Judging by last week's find on the surface we could be in for a pleasant shock.
Even the old prospector's didn't spot this one. Perhaps they were too busy elsewhere chasing the easy finds haha. There's definitely, absolutely, with doubt gold in em hills!

In Brian's podcast back in December he touched on the similarities that Great Western has with other prolific Australian gold mines when comparing the old mine workings across the licence areas as well as the potential mineralisation and high grades.
In terms of GGP they have more assets plus Newcrest. Having said that we recently acquired the Olympic site and along with the other potential sites around Mineral Jackpot, Rockhouse, Huntoon and Black mountain which allow potential for gold production, if we got a partner aboard here to really move things along then I can certainly see 3-4p a distinct possibility in a couple of years.

My prediction for next few days is that we get an RNS perhaps tomorrow or Mon confirming publication of the new updated company presentation. Following that later next week perhaps confirmation that trenching has completed. If in that announcement they were able to confirm more pieces of gold found that would be the icing on the cake.

Gold tonight seems to have recovered some ground. Back to $1,960 an ounce - up 2%

The high purity gold find just the other day shows that they are looking in the right area and hopefully bang in the middle of rich gold deposits at Rockhouse having followed all the available data which to be fair is limited given the area has never been explored.
This is what makes the potential at this location so exciting. And that's exactly the word the company used the other day to describe the find. To find this amount of gold and high purity at the surface in just one rock is extremely encouraging. It also means that there is high potential for further gold finds at or just below the surface which would be absolutely fantastic.

gurps47 - And do you think by messaging every 20mins whinging about wanting news that they will suddenly release some?
I'm sure the minute the company are ready they will do so. Just the other day we had impatient people here whinging about the lack of news and PR and since then we've had an operational update, some tweets and anytime now an updated presentation.
And I'm sure the newsflow will increase now from this point so I'd say were looking pretty good for those that are patient.

Great post chisler! Illustrates perfectly the sheer potential of the assets in Nevada that Great Western are sitting on. Plus we have 100% of all the licences. How many other miners out there are close to production and valued at just £2.5M Mcap?
The main reason why we are still around this price? Because the market remembers the mistakes made by the previous bod with all the false dawns and want to see proof that this huge milestone is really happening and not just empty words. The market will realise soon enough....

Joycopter - yes RH has the added bonus of being easily accessible. In terms of potential near term revenue from both gold and silver Brian couldn't give any guarantees of generating revenue from Olympic site by Q4 but i think revenue in Q4 from Mineral Jackpot and Rockhouse is pretty much nailed on

I think the company have learnt from previous mistakes and are being very careful in what they announce as they continue to make real progress. So for the company to state officially that they are very excited by the result of the find tells me that they are quietly confident that there is a significant amount of gold in the unexplored area of Rock house alone. It was the beginning of 2019 when Great Western's geologists first identified mineralisation in the locality through satellite imagery, ground based geological mapping and soil sampling I think it's no accident that in a very short timescale they have stumbled across the high purity gold in a SURFACE sample!
They haven't even had to dig to find it! Imagine what could be lurking across the rest of the surface area or just below ground! The Rock house area could turn out to be a huge find for the company just like the Trafalgar hill area of the recently acquired Olympic gold project.

Not concerned at all about an overdue pull back on precious metal prices. Focus for Great Western is not the fluctuations in prices of gold and silver per ounce right now but the trenching and drilling program. Trenching as per today's RNS due to complete by this week at RH. Although they have to say in the RNS no certainty of finding further pure gold, I think there is a strong likelihood they will. Company is in a much better position than 12 months ago with a renewed focus and they seem genuinely excited about this latest find in a previously unexplored area.
Just look up the 2 recent NED appointments too. Pretty impressive.

The company even say in the RNS that it wasn't material news due to the small size but it represents a significant milestone for the company to which I agree. This is no PR stunt this is the start of the company's transformation with a new bod and new focus. See you all at 1p

On the contrary. With being fully funded for 2020 and ongoing activity at both Mineral Jackpot and Rock house I think we are in store for a really good update.
