In dec 2022 they had 3.2mil cash June 2023 they had 3.7mil cash. 27 boom sites operational in June 2023. Now including Dubai, Southend and Canterbury. So very low capex this half compared to previous 18months or so with their aggressive rollout. Then they have 49 escape hunts I believe. And some of them worldwide also. That’s why I think this will be a transformational period. Most of their sites are fully operational ready for the Xmas “boom”

Exactly, I agree with you. The average spend per person must be much higher compared to conventional drinking at a local pub. I’ve been to 3 boom battle bars - Oxford street, Wandsworth and most recently Ipswich for a birthday. There was 20 of us, played virtual darts, beer pong and then karaoke. We had a great night. And including the games we all drank and most of us ate. The place was busy and all games were being used.

The local escape hunt I’ve booked for my small team of 4 for our Xmas social.

As for the share price, I see this as an opportunity to buy more. But I’m fully loaded already. I do see a group of ppl on twitter trying to control a negative narrative towards Xpf. Not sure what the agenda is but find it strange.

I agree with Xpf being a take out target. I see the potential in the USA as a great opportunity. The company behind swingers and electric shuffle have opened several in America. I read an article recently that said a study showed around 400% rise in experiential leisure in the US since 2021 I believe. When I find the article I’ll post it up. They’ve already got an international boom battle bar in Dubai. This is what CEO said in interims;

“Our first international Boom site opened in Dubai on 21 July 2023 and performance to date has been encouraging. Dubai provides an excellent opportunity for us to develop our international capability as we develop and optimise the

support structures that can be provided from within the UK which will assist future international expansion

Lots of articles out there explaining how there’s a shift in people’s leisure and social habits. Clearly exponential growth happening in experiential leisure right now. The “trend is your friend” and there’s a clear trend in experiential leisure. Just have to look in your local high street right now. In my small town there’s 2 escape rooms for example (one of which is escape hunts).

Thanks for post. I think this confirms how popular experiencial socialising is. And boom battle bar does it best l. Just a quick look at electric shuffle and they only have 3 in uk vs I think 27 boom bars if I remember correctly (not to mention 46 escape rooms last time I checked). Plus boom bars have better ratings.

If these type of bars are opening and mainstream media are marketing it it shows how the market is growing. And boom battle bars are best positioned to benefit from this.

I truly believe q4 2023 will be XPFs best quarter on record. All bars fully operational, no covid, no train strikes corporate bookings will be through the roof, xmas parties, students will love this over the festive period. Not to mention the flywheel effect. The more ppl go the more ppl will positively talk about it and will gain massive traction. You just have to look at their reviews to know how much ppl like their experience. In London ppl rave about swingers (golf), flight club (darts), as well as others. This is all of them combined!

Sounds like the next 12months could be transformational. Aim to break even q2 2024. So much potential for growth in all regions. I also like the innovation of the gin and tonic on tap for events such as sports events, festivals etc. there much be so much demand and potential for something like that.

XP Factory (AIM: XPF), was notified on 29 September 2023 that Andrew Jacobs, Chief Operating Officer of the Company, on the 27th and 28th of September 2023 acquired 177,303 ordinary shares of 1.25 pence in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at an average price of 16.908 pence per share.

As a result, Andrew Jacobs' total beneficial interest in the Company has increased to 1,066,921 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.61 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.

What a set of results! Excellent growth! Shows not only how resilient this company is during cost of living etc but how there’s clearly growing demand for experiential leisure. This can’t be compared to traditional leisure, bar, pub companies etc. think the market needs to wake up to how good this company is.

Really pleased to see these dip a bit. Just bought in. Love the story here and think it’s just the beginning of more deals to be announced.

There should be a trading update pretty soon. I think that will be the catalyst for upward momentum. I do think the amazing google and trip advisor reviews on both escape hunt and boom battle bars (especially as this is a new business) is a good reflection on how well these business’ are run. I can’t find many other public business’ - if any - with such good reviews. And at some point this will fly. It’s inevitable.

Interesting to see there was still 6% growth in china in spite of Covid restrictions. once their Covid situation improves you’d assume a lot stronger growth in the future.
The ong family own 56% and frasers group own 37% (Mike Ashley) and Burberry have been rumoured to be interested. Strong players involved.
It’s such a strong brand I think it has huge potential for growth from these levels.
