Wow. Very pleased with that growth. At this early stage of booms cycle that is the most important metric imo. And great to see the more mature business, escape hunt still showing growth.

I love the fact they had a record Xmas. Compound the growth with their excellent reviews you can absolutely assume that customers will not only come again but they’ll tell everyone about their great experience and create a “flywheel” effect creating more growth. Experiential leisure is certainly a growing market and Xpf is best placed to benefit.

Last years trading update was 25th January and year before 26th Jan. So I expect one around these dates. And expect to see record breaking numbers.

Great to see more progress here. And very happy to hear good execution on their margin improvement. I think this could be one of the most exciting shares of 2024.

Wow that’s quite incredible. Definite validation that they’ve had a great Xmas period. No wonder directors have been buying. Looks like this could be the inflection point. Looking forward to 2024!

No problem Cheezer. For what it’s worth I’ve been to 3 boom battle bars- Wandsworth, Oxford st and Ipswich. I personally feel they’re a lot better offering than competitors such as flight club or swingers, mainly because you have more options. I loved the fact we could play golf, darts, beer pong and karaoke all in one place. And from a business perspective means more dwell time and greater spend per person imo.

I did my first escape room in Woking yesterday. We did the blackbeards treasure game. Granted I’m not sure I’m quite their target market but we did it as our works do. And I really enjoyed it. And again it seems to be a great business model. Can’t be too high capex to start one of these and once operational ongoing costs can’t be high. We had a great host also which I feel is important for one of these and I think that’s reflective of their great reviews on trip advisor. Can definitely see the appeal for a group of friends, couples on date night, corporate and families. So definitely a good range of target market.

18% up today… people finally waking up?

Not sure if anyone else has been out for Xmas parties etc last few weeks. I went boom battle bar Oxford st last Thursday and it was absolutely heaving- had a great time. Also was in London on Sunday and could hardly move in borough market and down Oxford street. Not sure if London is a bubble and not representative of country but undoubtedly has to be a good sign for Xpf.

I agree with chapel. Seems like they’re impressed with the progress or why else buy?

XP Factory (AIM: XPF), a global leader in the experiential leisure sector, was notified on 8 December 2023 that Philip Shepherd, a non-executive director of the Company, on the same day acquired 62,163 ordinary shares of 1.25 pence in the Company at a price of 16.0867 pence per share.

Philip Shepherd's total beneficial interest in the Company is 62,163 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.04 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.

I think it’s worth remembering when we talk about scaling the business where they’ve come from. It’s quite amazing imo how they’ve now got 27 boom battle bars and 49 escape rooms, bearing in mind they only started BBB back in late 2021. This is in spite of covid, cost of living, train strikes etc. in fact they were able to take advantage of covid by getting lease deals in prime locations at favourable rates. I think this phase of slowing down openings of sites and proving it can be a profitable, successful business is right strategy and then can go to next phase of scaling up after.

He also bought another £30ks worth not long ago. I’m sure he’s seeing something he likes.

Looks like seller may have slowed for sure and hopefully this is the inflection point - sweet spot - where we see a nice rise from here 🙏

XP Factory (AIM: XPF), a global leader in the experiential leisure sector, was notified on 5 December 2023 that Andrew Jacobs, Chief Operating Officer of the Company, on the same day acquired 233,227 ordinary shares of 1.25 pence in the Company at a price of 15.0 pence per share.

As a result, Andrew Jacobs' total beneficial interest in the Company has increased to 1,303,684 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.75 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.

I do think there is a global shift happening on how we all socialise. This article is talking about the USA market;

It’s says: “According to Cushman & Wakefield research, competitive socializing concepts have grown 386% since the beginning of 2021.”

I do think both boom battle bars and escape rooms are so scalable, domestically and internationally. I’m sure big players in the leisure industry are eyeing this up at this level personally. It’s in a growing market and due to do around 40mil revenue and at 24mil mcap. Seems a no brainer to me. I’d be interested to see if someone can give me a compelling argument otherwise.

They have escape rooms in: Uk, Portugal, Spain, France, quatar, UAE, USA, Norway, Netherlands, Kuwait, Belgium , Australia. Plus they opened their first international boom bar in Dubai, July if I remember correctly. This is what the ceo said in interims as a main focus;

“2. Accelerate growth in international territories, ultimately through franchise

We opened our first international Boom Battle Bar® in Dubai and are actively exploring possibilities in other territories. In the short term, however, our focus will remain the UK with the aim of developing a robust, defensible business capable of international franchise.”

And also copied and paste from interims;

“Initial analysis supports our expectation that in the longer-term, we see an opportunity to scale the business considerably domestically and internationally, with a market opportunity of +50 Escape Hunt® and +100 Boom Battle Bar® sites in the UK alone.

Internationally, our Dubai site has opened ahead of expectations and we see a significant opportunity in time to roll out our proven concept overseas with reduced execution risk.”

I know from most recent interview that they’re looking to increases their target for amount of sites also.

Last time I listened to Paul Scott regarding Xpf he said he had bought more and felt that the buying of shares from the COO which if I remember correctly was around £30k worth was a potentially a good sign that things where progressing well.

What a great buying opportunity imo. If you’ve done your research then the odds are well in your favour. Experiential leisure is changing our high streets and how ppl socialise. Xpf is best positioned to benefit from this booming sector. They’re in the rapidly growing sector and in the best locations, such as, Oxford street, O2, Dubai, lakeside etc and I think we’re in the best quarter the leisure industry has seen since before COVID. I believe they’ll be a cracking trading update come January. You literally just have to go to your local high street and see how popular experiential leisure is.
