IMO, to make money on the stock market, it isn't about following the big money, but getting there before the big money!
The number of shares in issue at ALGW is very small and simple law of supply and demand.
I have said this before and those who remember PYC last year, going from 1.6p to 32p on a tiny £75k contract will be dwarfed by a $50m+ contract(s), here!

Laz- I don't think it will! I think that the MM's are making a market and maybe letting someone in. However, what I mean is that if it were to go lower to buy (today buys were 1.16- 1.17 & 1
1.20p. so, this is why I think it's a bit of a game but if I saw that it happened to dip under 1.1p I like others wouldn't hesitate! Even if only a couple of hundred quid.
I don't think it will happen, but if it did I would be in a bit more and would keep my average.
I sense a big week coming up! Calm before the wave!
What is your buy in point?
If you haven't bought or have a much higher average, then it might be time to start thinking about it!

My last two little top ups were sub 1.10p So, if I am around and happen to see it possible to buys sub 1.10p, I will find every coin in the sofa, drawers and filter in washing machine and buy some.more.
I think that alot of people would do the same!

Lazarus- I am still blue, but if you can buy at these prices- you will have gotten a really sweet deal!
If I can buy at this price, might try and get a cheaky top up on Monday!

HullFC- you are absolutely right! Not only did they raise at 1.5p but they are also getting $10k/mth in fees. So, this will slow any burn.

I am expecting a contract or more certainly very near term. I know some of the people who put the money in for the raise and they are confident, so I am too!

So, as you are not invested here, why do you care?
Anyway, should a contract or more land the very few shares in issue would really be snapped up and imo there are no where near enough shares to go round.

Laz- seriously mate! You have 93 posts and now your an expert at bait and switches!
When someone with so few posts comes on to a board waiting news, it's usually because: they want to keep the price low (probably wanting a lower entry point), nothing better to do, not invested (wishing they were) or working for someone else.
So, one thing is for certain. When you have a troll in your garden your investment does better. This is because double "o" negatos are a prelude to a big share price rise! This has been my experience!

There have been some interesting buys and transfers over the last couple of days. Could there be something about to happen?

I personally believe that they are deals that were made this morning and worked throughout the day.
The thing that makes me think that they are buys ordered this morning is the fact that the buys were just under and at 1.20p this morning.

Is there a big buy in the background? The ask popped up to 1.30p and no change to real bid.so what happenibg on L2?.

My 68k top up also looks like a sell, but is in fact a buy!

A 750k buy has just gone through for 1.18p am really happy with my tip up price ??

Rhambo- the situation is the same as it has been for the last couple of months and nothing will be decided u til the meeting with the FDA. So, Hercules have postponed a payment and why would the pull the plug now and not wait until the meeting? Why haven't they pulled the plug, last month? IMO it's because they know/have a very good idea what will come of the meeting and as such know they stand to make a good amount of £££>
If, I were the lender and had the experts in my corner (as a lender will), and knew that there was no way that MTFB would be able to get Iclaprim past the line after the next FDA meeting- I would've pulled the plug weeks ago.
So, in my humble opinion, it looks to me that MTFB have ways forward and just need to get to that meeting to know what path to take and believe they have an agreement with Hercules plus other third parties.
All to be seen- MTFB Nasdaq closed even- so the share price seems to be stable and might even rise.

Today, it seemed that the market makers would take any amount of shares offered to them and Nasdaq is up in NY, so what does that tell me? Kettle - I agree! I believe there is a few options for funding if the FDA's decision goes our way!
In saying that the FDA's decision is based on data and as much as they may have queries and need for additional data, Iclaprim has performed well in each of the trials.
I by all means am no expert and barely understand it, but I recon and hope it will come down to labeling!
Iclaprim as an antibiotic is a needed tool for modern medicine, so again I hope this is something well considered.
But it is binary, FDA either kill it and this would kill any chance of financing or FDA keep it alive and am sure that options will arise.
I also believe that MTFB will know or have a good idea as to what the FDA want and are probably lining things up! Or atleast I would expect them to.

Kettle- if you are correct and it's because shorters are getting gitters, that would be a huge positive sign. As we all know there are no whispers or insiders and no body knows until the RNs (as I told my Nana).
The point is, if it's shorters closing positions, because MTFB went as low as it is going to go (unless no funding because the meeting is a disaster), then both shorters and savvy investors will come in.
As far as the meeting goes, you would think that there are enough serious professionals inked to MTFB, that the company would probably have a really good idea as to what to expect and mbe this is why Hercules is being patient! Just some thoughts and we'll see

For it to hit £1 Iclaprim has to be proved and before that we need to get the study in order to get the info, before the study we need to know what we need to find out, before that we need money and once all this is sorted. Then we can start talking £1+
