i think the market will be underwhelmed by a merger or acquisition of PMG, not saying that its not a good idea in the longer term with the added renewables. Just think the market is looking for another "transformational" deal, which PMG is not

“t/o at £18m-29m net” - I doubt it for net profit of £0.8m

Interesting update from PMG this morning, low gas prices have impacted revenue and new profit of just £0.8m, however they are for results up to June 2020, atleast they are cash flow positive and have a healthy cash position. Interesting for such a small company they are looking at renewables.

Nothing to do with “oversupply production” - it’s more about US-Iranian relations and how that influences Rhum production. Let’s see how the share price reacts if Biden wins. Only a thought, nothing more. The main thing here is to get an acquisition done, there must be a few assets up for grabs. Looking beyond the next 18 months, the increase in production just from Rhum3, Columbus, Another 40% BKR should double the share price alone

Could the recent rally be related to the US elections? Biden winning could be better for US-Iranian relations. We will find out soon

From BP RNS today, interesting these divestments are happening so quickly :

Proceeds from divestments and other disposals in the quarter were $0.6 billion. BP has already completed or agreed transactions for approaching half its target of $25 billion in proceeds by 2025

But Serica have already told the market that they have made some bids pre covid and have been looking for acquisition opportunities. The question is more about how big will the acquisition be and how will they pay for it. We know that the BP assets that PMO wanted are now available.
