The new corporate presentation on slide 9 states the following:

"Serica remains in growth mode as it looks for new investment opportunities but this
still leaves room for a measured distribution policy to reward shareholders for their
continuing support"
So, it looks like they want to use the cash more for "investment opportunities" rather than a bigger dividend - lovely

yes exactly NewKTOB, this is a significant renewal of the license, anyone wants to acquire or merge would want some sort of certainty.
Its clear they are talking to someone and emphasizing their clear unwillingness to overpay for any acquisitions in public. Its like a football club held to ransom after they have sold their star player for millions - any future players suddenly have inflated prices.

Dividend and cash will be in the April update. Great result on the 2 year OFAC licence renewal - gives medium term stability and removes uncertainty

most oil & gas stocks are down including the likes of BP & RDSB so nothing to do with SQZ. Had a good run of late, new news will drive this forward (i hope!!), so looking forward to Rhum3 results. Longer term spot prices for Natural gas are looking better so definitely need to hedge at the higher levels. If Rhum3 is a gusher then there should be a step change in the share price

Good luck with the pullback but it’s not coming

Likewise NewKTOB, for me it was early cheap takeovers of Ithaca & Faroe & RRE. I can see the same happening here with Serica just as the next oil bull market is about to start.
Question is will the suitors make a bid pre or post Rhum3 results, I wonder if they know the early results
I too was in XEL - Rupert Cole needs to be jailed, I’m surprised no litigation ever materialised!!

The amount traded is relatively low volume which is understandable as the amount of free available shares is low and people dont want to trade it, however, the shares have increased in price. Imagine the share price reaction when the volume does pick up!!!

Those 6 figure trades can’t be related to good news leaking on Rhum3 or these sky high gas prices? Surely something else. However, we are in that 130-140p range, but this time with massive trades - something big coming

lets hope that Rhum3 is good, pricing for gas looks good for Feb and March but not sure how quickly they could get Rhum3 operational and take advantage of these prices

That's what Gill had said a few weeks ago wrt to late January, i suspect Namibia farm out coming, other stocks with Namibia exposure have been and are going up

They can’t do that without informing the market and shareholders would have to agree to it at an AGM

140p is a barrier and SQZ have tested it several times. If Rhum3 comes in no doubt that will be smashed and there is clear air above. So without any further news I reckon that will be short term target - end of next week ?

if GRG has offloaded 3.43% to a single entity and looks like more to follow, isn't this above the regulatory reporting limit of 3% for TR1 notification?

So our biggest shareholder is offloading shares at an increased rate, yet the share price continues to go up. This doesn't make sense.
Our share price has been depressed for many months so any takeover would take into account the average shareprice over "x" amount of months?
What an opportunistic move this would be with 100% BKR in little over 11 months, Rhum3 hopefully being good, Columbus coming on stream, Gas prices firming up, probably progressive dividend and cash flying in.
This is going to be HOSTILE.
