not sure what more the board can do, they are reliant on TLW & Total. More so TLW, who have limited budget and probably need to farm out their 60%. Nothing will happen until TLW make a statement

Unfortunately it appears that oil & gas companies won’t be valued correctly for some time, just look at the valuations across the whole sector from juniors to what were multi national Goliath's like BP, RDSB & XON. The only way to see full value will either be oil at $100 plus over a protracted period of time or some sort of black swan event that disrupts global energy supplies. In the mean time best to try and trade part of your holdings and keep cash when those events occur

Upomega - after all this time you should know how this share trades, it’s so obvious it’s between 104-140p, why don’t you just trade all of it or part of it? Yes sure it might get taken over or SQZ might make another acquisition, Is that why you continue to hold? An acquisition might not come as quick as we all want. Holding this stock you have to be prepared for the full trading range - no point in crying if it falls to 110p. It’s done this loads of times. We all know what the risks are with this stock. Don’t be surprised if there is no new news next week to see this trading at 104p. That will be another top up and trading opportunity

that Serica is posting its interim results 2 weeks earlier than usual. Last couple of years its been late September. Maybe i'm reading too much into it

This share is somewhat entering a period of hibernation. Nothing to see until the next dividend payment which is well into next year. There’s the USA elections and then Brexit to come before any dividends. Surely it won’t test the lows of this year?
I think anything other than a Trump win will knock the markets, by the way i don’t like the orange head.
They should really pay a quarterly dividend to keep the interest up.
I’ll keep some powder dry just in case the market has another meltdown. Also whilst I’m in a doom mood, there is CV19 wave 2.

NewKOTB - I’m only going on previous price movements ahead of news, I could be totally wrong if an acquisition is announced, if it’s simply a “standard” update then I shouldn’t be too far off

It’s the same pattern again and again pre results, it will drop to 110p, might drop to 104p if you’re lucky and then will go up to 134-140p range
That’s if there isn’t a leaked production issue

i think the USA stock market is setting itself up for an almighty fall, especially if the election doesn't go Trumps way, like always it will be a good buying opportunity, everything will tank with the US markets and then there is BREXIT to contend with

Thanks Flying, now that would be a monster acquisition but would BP be willing to give up that much production despite their 5% interest in SQZ
Maybe, they should just transfer all their oil interests into SQZ, lol and then keep all the Gretta propaganda in BP

its the same every summer - its tumbleweed season when nothing happens, however, H1 results not far away so i am expecting the share price to test the 140p mark over the next few weeks starting early September. Not expecting any earth shattering news pre H1 results though

i think part of the problem with the ftse and AIM is that shorting is permitted, pretty sure its now allowed on the DAX, dont know about the DOW. Anyway, since about 2000 we havent seen any significant growth with the ftse

personally cant see any news on an acquisition in the "tumbleweed" season, so nothing before H1 results, wouldn't be surprised if it comes in October though.
Still could be wrong, RRE were talking to their suitors end of Feb and 3-4 months later they were gone. We know that SQZ had already approached and talked to potential targets pre CV19, but walked away. Lets see how good a negotiator Kate is.
