Shares in THG have plunged to an all-time low this morning on the news that its largest institutional shareholder Blackrock sold half of its stake in the ecommerce group after a tumultuous month.
Blackrock has sold 58m shares in THG at a price of 195p each, valuing the deal at £113.1m, according to its bookrunner Goldman Sachs. This represents a 10.3 per cent discount on Monday’s closing share price.
As of mid-October, the world’s largest asset manager held a 10.1 per cent stake in THG, or nearly 124m shares, according to Refinitiv data.
They can have mine for £1 no probs at all
Love this share got it through the primary bit as a pure punt . Should have got more haha
165% up long may it continue.
Some times it just happens
I agree it can be a bit frustrating but some of these investments are not far off seed funding level so it will take time for them to bare fruit.
Sgs big gamble hopefully will do it.
Maybe he is holding on to the cash to capitalise on sgs for production working capital if required ?
Otherwise having a big cash pile means that when a great opportunity arises he can jump on it.
I know what you mean when you see the £2m sat there doing nothing but he has a war chest with that cash so let’s hope he can make the most of it when the time is right... otherwise it will be another fund raise and dilution when the seed investments require further funding.
In for the LTH here
Sold mine today.
I totally believe in the long term but for me as I check the prices too often I can’t be doing with the drop to £9.50 as per the other week.
Question of nerves !
Good luck all I’m sure I will be back
There is but it’s behind a paywall !
I reckon all those stimulus cheques will push growth / tech up a bit next week. The spectre of bond rates still ever present tho. Be nice to see the February fact sheet so we know what the latest portfolio is re USA tech stocks
I reckon we will get a bounce from the stim cheques getting spent on “bargain tech”
I think I will ride that then take a breather on this one as the level of drop sent me over the edge!
I just thought we would see maybe 10/20% drop but the carnage was unreal albeit we have bounced back a bit.
Interesting when you look at SMT it’s not just the tech bit but the whole growth sector that got battered which I just wasn’t expecting.
Live and learn !!

Hi,
If it’s under the cgt allowance you will be fine.
The transfer to your sipp/isa doesn’t make a difference because even though you paid £2 odd the value at the transaction is now £3 odd. So it goes in the sales price and you get a gain.
Obviously on the sipp side you will be able to claim income tax relief etc but that is just based on your contribution so separate to cgt.
Hi
Anything you have in a tax wrapper of pension or isa you can put to one side almost like they are owned by another person.
If you transfer shares to your sipp from your dealing it’s just like bed and isa. The gain will be in your dealing account and for you to report on your personal tax return (if required)
If you do not buy the shares again in your dealing account you will crystallise the gain.
Basically the transfer event is just treated as a normal sale to the market.
@mouse
Sorry to hear that this share is stressing you out, I know the feeling from Scottish mortgage trust this week and other “stable” stocks.
I think with amigo it’s a total punt so should only be a small part of your portfolio to reduce the stress.
Now jpm are on board I feel it’s less of a punt but still wish I sold some at this weeks highs .
Anyway enjoy the weekend now the markets are shut
Best wishes
