Hey guys, been invested a few months now avg 9p been bumpy ! Ha
Anyway the investment through CFDās, can we actually tell which way the CFD is for as in up or down ?
Also if it is up as I believe we all presume do we think that this will cause a dip if they take they gain and then dump the position / unwind it ?
Still getting my head around derivatives ! Sorry if this has been answered but couldnāt see it.
Thanks
Same here I was about Ā£27k up before it went south went about Ā£3k down today but came back a bit in the end.
Some swing tho ! Kept myself invested tho as you can see it isnāt a flash in the pan fund.
My old man was happy tho as managed to buy in at Ā£11.45 heās been waiting for a dip for ages so blame him haha.
Letās hope it is on the up now, some very helpful comments on the board today so thanks guys
Hey Iām not in to crypto really just checked out coinbase with Ā£500 at the weekend to see how the competition worked after a friend used that platform.
I have downloaded mode also.
Totally aware that ether is coming... my point is that itās not here already.
Itās a fair point about the jar giving a return on Bitcoin which I guess is a key advantage.
I suppose I still see crypto as a massive bubble in the back of my mind !
When looking at Bitcoin from a permanent hold point of view I guess you are saying that is the market for mode.
Seems to be a growing sector tho so always good to hedge ones bets.
Re De-ramping? I do think people are a little bit obsessed about the impact posting On a board like this could seriously have on the sp?
Just my view really bad as with all views please feel free to ignore.
Itās a bit limited in terms of a crypto offering for retail IMO as lots of people are after the smaller currencies.
Coinbase must be taking it in, massive selection and Ā£3 transaction fees.
Canāt help but feel mode really limited by just being Bitcoin.
The payment solution as an alternative to the merchants could have legs but only if being a mode customer isnāt a requirement to pay. As in if the retailer / restaurant is signed up with mode then the customer can pay contactless.
Thatās the only disruption part of their offering for me so hope thatās the aim.
Think the team interview well and am invested but only Ā£10k, we will see !
There seems to be an uplift in articles mentioning the energy sector looking Covid value, although a lot of this tied in to explaining why the FTSE 100 is such a laggard.
Are people waking up to the value of BP or is the ESG element still enough to keep up out of fashion?
Iām always balancing the green argument with some of the sky high broker valuations !
Iām overweight here at about 20% of portfolio so always overthinking BP!
GLA
Will be a crazy premium today ! It just keeps going up tho
Can be a bit lumpy !
Iāve got both SMT and this bought EDW first but they are both now ore or less 22% up from nov / dec
Very happy with them.
Also bought the China growth in my pension and thatās up about 25% over same period although it has a bit of a premium to NAV that one
Hut = hit to property values
Just goes to show about sentiment I guess.
They do have some big backers but surely any fund raise would dent the sp substantially.
Iām an amateur but the mcap isnāt a million miles away from pre Covid and yet they have made all those losses... not to mention the hut to some of the property values (albeit that may reverse)z
Makes no sense from a numbers point of view !
Iām biased tho as sold at 250 ooops
Agree with you totally ! Also got out at 250
Canāt win em all tho
Anyone managed to workout what the underlying break even revenue requirement is?
Iām only just recently invested.
Obviously turning a corner re profitability and or exceptional growth would be key drivers to the share price especially if there is a concentration issue with revenue from bt etc?
