RE: Now that15 Jul 2024 09:48
Affirm it has been a joy to see your constant positivity on here...day after day...
But we should keep in mind that there are many people on here who have been waiting for so long and some who will still be seriously under water.
There will also be Sirius type holders who have way extended themselves financially, maybe even not telling their partners how overcommitted they are...so to see the share price stagnation, day after day, week after week, month after month, must have been really hard.
So I don't blame anyone who lightens their load..even the ones who have watched sales at 10.5 then 10.00 and seen the price all away and think "I've got to get this price while I can."
So let me put this the other way round.
I've also seen the SP fall from the 40s. I dumped the vast majority of my holding in the 30s because it dawned on me this would take far longer than I would wish. But I steadily built back until with a final 500k buy at 5.95 I got my average down to 8.24.
Please be clear. I am not gloating. It is simply the backdrop for me to say that even at 9.80, with the backdrop of todays game changing news, this is an absolute steal.
How often do you get the chance to buy shares in a company with NO FINANCIAL CONCERNS for probably 10% of its true worth?
So why is the SP where it is?
Just look at the trading patterns today. Someone on here was bid 11.9p for their entire holding earlier today.
Since 8.30am there have been virtually no BUYS over 50k. Why?
Because nobody is selling. The prospective bidders don't NEED to buy. When BHP bid 75 cents for Noront they only had 3% of the shares.
But any institutions who want to buy will have to pay up for size, so just imagine what will happen when the next review puts SOLG back into the MSCI...
When SOLG dropped out, MSCI Tracker funds had to sell possibly $50m shares. How on earth will they get those back without the price flying?
Today we are seeing short term traders and weak holders selling. On a day of the biggest announcement SOLG has made since the first big find at Alpala, only 12 million shares have been traded.
That says it all for me.
So please excuse me while I go and try to buy some more.
Once we break 10.60 with conviction the next stop will be 14p...then 16, 20, 22, 25...if we even get that far before the first serious bid...
Enjoy
