I've twice bought at 18/20 and sold half at double...

If you're going to be a serious investor you need to take a view every day and be prepared to dump shares to buy back. Hence my average of 8.24...

With the greatest respect you need to take a view and be prepared to devise it as circumstances change.

So eg I sold ADT1 at 202 last week, bought FRES at 575 and today reversed it at 625 into 171.

You dont need to be a trader to proactively manage your investments but if you're just going to sit there for 15 years and miss 6 chances to sell at 35/45 you might as well stick your cash in Gilts...

Either that or take on trust the views of those who have been in SOLG for 8 years or more...

As well as Cascabel there is a cornucopia of 89 other prospects, some of which could have us much gold as Cascabel...and Porvenir is also a significant undsrdeveloped prospect.

So do the work or drive in at prices that will look stupid within months...

So why not push off...plenty of other rubbish shares to troll...

I am very confident of Directors deals this week and that alone should firmly establish us above 10.60.

I still see 14p as the next significantvresistance, but it takes time for institutions to make investment decisions...

You cant blame them for having held off as many on here have all the time there were reasonable cash concerns...

But all that is past now. SOLG is a sound medium term investment now. 35 million shares traded today, pretty much evenly matched but I suspect the sales will have gone into firmer hands.

IMO it's only a matter of time now...

Gold will hit new all time highs. GDX and GDXJ will follow and I believe we are already into the next metals/junior miners Bull market.

I would not have been surprised if the SP had hit 20p today but what will soon become clear is that there is absolutely no reason to sell and every reason to buy, confident for the first time in more than 2 years and ever since the hapless Darryl was dispensed with, that we can be confident of an upward trajectory...

Over 35 million shares traded today...4th biggest in 5 years...surely they'll be somewhere in there because they know the true value of this company...

They know what takeout price they will settle for...

They know that they can now wait indefinitely...

And THEY have had to wait 3 months to be able to buy more shares...

Every day I do research into every share I own. With the exception of AFC they're all miners.

Specialising and deeply understanding is the key...and being prepared to take a profit when appropriate, especially when the SP doubles and you sell half and leave the rest in for free...

I take a view on SOLG every single day...and buy or sell as appropriate...but I'm not a trader...

So what's the beting that well get a Directirs Buys RNS tomorrow now hes been released...hed be daft not to buy at these levels...

Then watch the SP fly...

Just sold 60 million shares in First Tin, consequent on Metals X taking a 23% stake from Mathers Clara Resources...

Clearly neither he nor DGR want to sell SOLG shares to keep the lights on at home...

For anyone who thinks we're going to production, it is clear beyond doubt that Nick wants this sold...and DGR needs it sold...

But I prefer ATYM. I riginally bought in at 80p and am still building a position. Today was an excellent opportunity with the pullback.

They will be in the FTSE250 by the end of the year with a price of £5 and £10 in 3 years for exactly the reasons you are prepared wait with SOLG.

No I'm not ramping them. They have a dividend policy to pay a proportion of cashflow in dividends which saw them a couple of years ago on a yield of 10plus.

ELIX plant and solar power fully coming onstream late 24; agreement to mine Toure and funds will have to buy them when they're in FTSE250.

The point I'm making is that in ATYM I have all that now, rather than wait 5 years in Solgold.

I would happily take 60p and reinvest the £1.2 million proceeds in the high yielders I have sold to build my position in ATYM

I am very happy that Scott Bob and Nick, with huge 'skin in the game' have our best interests at heart by getting this sold for way above the current SP...
