RE: re bids28 Oct 2020 12:50
Re earthling's comments earlier today...
I can't think why a major would wait for the PFS before making a bid...they can guess pretty much what its going to say and they'll do their own due diligence in due course, but...
Every day they wait runs the risk of more and more, better and better, regional news that pushes up the likely exit price...
If SOLG were worth 45p to BHP in the past, when only Alpala was known about and the other prospects were little more than names on a sheet of paper...then you add in what we already know about Porvenir (they can do the sums just as easily) and the 'sleeping giant' Rio...the exit price right now cannot be less than 100p...
Who's interested and why are they waiting...
The only sensible explanation is that their cash and assets on their balance sheet; and their borrowing powers remain the same, but ion the market tanks pre or post 3 November, the price of SOLG may fall back in line with markets and a temporary copper price setback...
But then the other side of the coin is gold...if US markets tank, what are the chances of gold retesting $2073...
Oh what delicious speculation...
AIMO as usual...
