addickt...I first heard about the 'roadshow' c23 March. I did not mention it immediately for obvious reasons.

There was a 400,000 buy on 1 April and on 7 April I posted:

"What I also think is bullish is the resilience of the SP in the face of substantial sales orders..."

And later that day:

"The company did a big 'roadshow' in March with immense interest, where they were able to call a very large number of high quality investors, some of whom have definitely started buying. "

You will have noticed that the SP started tp rise steadily from 1 April and daily volumes picked up substantially from 6 April, culminating in a 15.4 million day immediately after the Cashbox.

There are several on here who understand, as I do from my directly relevant experience that especially where there is not a lot of liquidity and a buyer wants a chunk of shares, one of two things has to happen, especially in this case whereto the Nomad will have been involved in the 'roadshow':

Either the Nomad informs a selected MM that the client will pay whatever it takes to buy their targeted chunk (that would not be smart because unless they were very optimistic, they could end up paying way over the offer), or

The full order is left with the MM to fill as and when, but with a firm limit price. That is why MMs sometimes have to 'manipulate' the price as some might say on here, to pick up all the stock they want piecemeal until the order is filled.

Now you will remember how many times I have posted on here that I was firmly bid for 300,000/450,000 close to the quote.

That is what has assured me that there is continuing interest, probably from institutions but also of course by PIs noting the rising price and wanting to get on board.

We have not had any exciting news; the cashbox was oversubscribed; the volumes have been much higher than average especially from early April through to early May; we had a 15.4 million day on 28 April (third highest volume in 3 years) and a 10.4 million day on Friday (the 2nd highest in 3 months) that drove the price to 34.7...

I was rubbished on the '45 investor roadshow' but it produced a welter of steady buying and strong support for the cashbox placing.

If I say 'in my view' or 'in my opinion' or 'I think' or similar, its my own thoughts.

If I state something as a fact it is a verifiable fact or it is received wisdom.

Finally, it is always possible to tie apparently disparate pieces of information to project objective ideas or draw a conclusion.

As an ex Stockbroker and AIM GFD, I realise the importance of this.

Furthermore, my contact is smart enough to know this even better than me.

If you think about it its a really smart play...

If you keep them both onside and engaged in the plan, they can keep all their options open...

The two balance each other and provide a collective bulwark against a third party bid which would have to be high enough for both to accept.

In the meantime any predatory ambitions by either would require the support of the other...and CGP and Blackrock...

Once again that would have to be a high price...

However, none of this precludes a JV approach by either and, by virtue of its size and complexity, my view is that BHP/Alpala makes sense on a 50:50 basis with BHP arranging the finance as well as chipping in its own...

The funds released by BHP's 'purchase' could be recycled into the progressive development of the other 76...

Don't be daft...its just a more sophisticated version of the one in the presentation...

What I meant was that Nick's masterplan was to dig a gigantic very big hole upwards...

Whereas Keith's approach is to go in from the side halfway down creating a smaller block cave and accessing the best pre alongside some open pit mining at the too...

That gives us a 15 year mine and more than enough cashflow to fund other projects progressively...

The other half of the ore can be block caved from the bottom later.

How do I know this? Because I've been shown the diagram.

NM deserves credit for bringing the company to the point where we have prospectively at least 3 Tier 1s...

However, he managed to alienate the major shareholders to the point where they voted against him en masse;

He preside over a shocking lack of sound governance and, embarrassingly this had to be pointed out as part of Cornerstone's bid defence.

His singular block caving approach to Alpala would have been long, slow and expensive and...

He routinely overhyped..."shock and ore"...

I believe we are now on a road with only good news to come and, either through a J/V or JVs or a takeover or, with a fair wind and a lot of luck ,;progressive development of the 'string of pearls' the SP will weave its way upwards until some of us will never have to worry about money again...

Meanwhile the CG RNS validates our views about the catastrophic NAY bites at the AGM and why NMs days were numbered.

You cannot run a would be 'major miner's the way it was run, with CG 20 years out of date...
