The impression I have is that Tandayama is being assayed separately.
I'm sure Quady is right that if it is only 3km away, all the ore can be processed through the same plant.
However, while there will be some surface mining at Alpala and Tandayama may be open cut, the main mine workings at Alpala are going to be a long sloping shaft cut into the middle of the deposit, where the richest ores and then block caved down from there.
This doesn't at all allow Tandayama and Alpala to be combined except in the production where of course there would be tremendous economies of scale, making the Tandayama PFS look extremely economically viable to my mind.
Whatever, we will clearly get an Alpala PFS in Q4 and probably also MRES for both Porvenir and Tandayama...
If its any consolation I went through all this with Atalaya....everything seems to take longer than you think...but I ended up tripling my money.
The big difference however is that ATYM were reopening an old mine; Solgold are building a new one...one of the biggest in the world...and have several other juicy projects, which is why I cannot see beyond a bid at some stage, unless they enter into a JV on Alpala as a 'bid defence'.
Hope this helps...answers on a postcard...
