Hi Harry. I believe we appointed Citi for bid defence almost two years ago.

I think you know my views on the 'old's Board, I.e. Moller, Mather and Clare, so let's see what happens.

What I do know is that this is the most independent the Board has been in SOLGs history so we can only hope for continuing better quality decisions going forward if SOLG is going to have the remotest chance of staying independent...

To repat my view, I think it will be very hard now to prevent a bidding war, but have always believed this could at least have been deferred with a JV for Cascabel with BHP and progressive monetization of the ret of the portfolio...

I dont know why Mathef couldn't see that giving BHP a piece of the cake could have protected SOLGs independence indefinitely...

Surely if BHP fail with Wyloo they'll be looking for a quick consolation prize, but IMO that would only light the touch paper for a bidding war more intense than Wyloo.

Why would Newcrest, BlackRock and CGP side with BHP rather than a more intense, deep pocketed bidder for whom SOLG complements or completes their portfolio?

With enough major/minor projects to keep them heavily occupied for at least three generations...

To finally put to bed the ridiculous notion that Blackrock have been manipulating the SP, just check out their Holdings announcements on Centamin starting from 8 November...very similar...trading at the edges...

We've just seen the biggest surge in inflation in the US in 40 years...to 6.8%...

Why is it EVER wrong to be bullish about Solgold when we've had so many disappointments in the past.

Barchart have moved from 100% to 88% sell because we've broken the 20 day MA..

50 day at 26 and 200 day at 27...both could be broken by year end...

Support has moved up again to 23.983...

Which is why I think it works best if a JV partner buy out CGP plus 35% from our stake...what would CGP take (as they must owe something like $60m by now...)?

I think the price for a 50% stake would be lower than a bid price for the whole, so say $150m to CGP and $350m for us...PLUS conditional on the JV partner leading the fundraising for development...
