Normal Market Size in Solgold is 30,000 shares...

I've never seen a firm bid for 1 million before...its now back down to 100,000 so don't know if it was filled or walked away.

Can you or anyone offer some sort of explanation cos I'm happy to learn...

So I can think of four possible scenarios...

One of the Market Makers is desperately short of stock...but if so, why panic buy...?

A major buyer has a big order in. If I'm bid for 1 million, the whole order may be very much bigger than that...

Somebody has been given inside information and is trying to get as much stock ASAP...

Its a PI who has bought the Bid story and is naively trying to buy 1 million all in one go...

Whatever the reason, trying to buy £183k of SOLG in one go is a pretty big deal...

But why is the SP stuck at 18.42/18.60...?

And TOTAL volume today is only 1.12 million so this order would almost double that...

Thats my point. Either something sackable OR a fundamental disagreement with the proposed strategy...

I remember many years ago I brought a merger proposal to the CEO of the major FS company where I was FD.

His response was "not interested...I don't want to lose my job..."

So just suppose DC disagreed with the merger (maybe S/O else gets the CEO as we've seen) or...the conclusion of the strategic review is to sell the company and he didn't agree (which, for the conspi******s, he wouldn't agree if it wasn't BHP...?)

So...one Market Maker will definitely take 1 million shares off me at 18.37p...

And...

The ACTUAL market quote is 18.53/18.5384

A week ago he congratulated 'Steve' on his presentation to IMARC

And a couple of days later...at most...he was gone...must have been sudden...
