Let's say the movers and shakers at CGP owned 30% (Sangha has 20%), they will get 165 million SOLG shares. Add to which we know Scott has 18 million and Sangha bought 23 million in the recent issue.

That makes a total of c200 million, which is c8% of the increased share capital.

How does that 'take control of the company'?

Mather/DGR have c16%; BHP and NCM c12% each...

Scott is only interim CEO...

Now I'm quite sure the CGP 'mafia's have rowed in to monetise their investment, with CGP having become a bit of a dog needing regular infusions of cash, but...

I'm certain that Mather and the CGP crowd are set on selling to the highest bidder and I'm happy to piggyback them to a life changing bonanza for me and the missus...

With all the radio silence leading up to the inevitable bidding war, it wouldn't surprise me if they had a nugget up their sleeves to ennervate the SP beforehand...

Meyer is not known for idle speculation...

It's only my opinion as always Orthern, but I guess those 'in the know' are fully invested and those who haven't heard of us, or who have but have seen the SP fall steadily and languish, are unconvinced...they may well try to jump on the bandwagon when the SP catches fire...

We're still in the post Christmas/New Year hiatus and now that the merger is agreed, there would appear little to look for before it is complete in late January...

But we will surely get some sort of drill news sooner or later to keep the pot boiling...if only on Moran...

I still believe the CGP SOLG stake will be kept in Treasury, either as firepower to support the DGR/CGP 'inner core' wishes and would only be sold to a potential bidder at a tasty price well above 17p, or not at all...

I have observed over time that the SOLG SP is much more correlated with the Gold price than copper, which may well have helped substantiate its rise from 15.66 to 17.92 but sooner or later copper must have an impact, at the very least when the bidding war starts...

For now I congratulate those with the foresight to buy more at 16 or so in the last few days...you wont see that again.

I dont see press articles lighting a fire here because there have been too many false dawns...(biggest takeover story in town...October 2021...) but this time it's for real...a TR1 by a serious player, or the first bid (but then it may be too late)...

Until then no doubt Quady will have a field day as a naysayer, while not very subtly shifting from the 'certainty' of production to "I told you all along a takeover was a possibility"...

Why would anyone sell...?

This is still a relatively unknown share for most people, but IMO it will attract FOMO interest when the SP begins to motor...

So tell your friends, because this is a rare opportunity to make serious money depending on how brave they are...

When the first bid or approach is announced, it may already be too late...especially if the shares get suspended 'pending an announcement'...

And it wont be the results of the strategic review...
