Agreed with you both (and Snooty) Remember this simple rule - price in cents (dollars) is approx 5 times equivalent price in pence (pounds). (assumes exchange rate of approx 1.60)

Happy new year to you. No guarantees of the starting price in the US. GSL are already listed, but as a shell company the current SP is no guide to the price once the scheme becomes operative - don't worry about consolidation - it happens before we get our new GSL shares. Some of us here believe the price of GSL shares will be the equivalent of double the current price - I'm hoping for 15p - which will be approx 75 cents for new GSL consolidated shares. Warning - it may be difficult to trade initially since the OTC market has few brokers operating in the UK, and make sure you have a broker who is happy to let you hold OTC shares.

Pollacs to you too, Robins. (A favourite expression of a colleague of mine when I was a young lecturer - but today you can spell it backwards, too.) My take on things is that most of the remaining UK sellers will exit next week. How many? - some brokers are enforcing sales next week, so we shall see. After that the sellers will dry up, especially after the scheme is operative. I can see it taking some time to receive US certificates, and so there will be a hiatus, when the SP could increase significantly if there are US buyers. If I were a canny US MM. I'd be buying up a few now in anticipation. (hint, hint)

Its the existing GSL shares that will be consolidated - which is how the new shares (ours=XEN ones) become the vast majority of GSL. So GSL will consist of 130.6m new XEN shares, plus 3.5m consolidated "old" GAIF shares. GAIF (GSL) at present is worth only the value the 3.5m shares will accrue once the scheme is completed - ie just a few million dollars, not $200m

Quite. Purely hypothetical. I see current GAIF quote is now 60c -$2 - quite a spread.

You didn't claim price would be £1.50 - I only got that figure from the unconsolidated trades of last week - which are not a guide to the future. I fully agree with your calcs of 3 bagger at 76 cents, and like you do expect to see that sort of price. Its just that it makes no sense to say that US current price on unconsolidated stock has any bearing on this 76c or possible $1.50. If I bought GAIF stock now at $1.50, I might easily find it would only be worth 7.6 or 15 cents after 1 for 10 consolidation. So the current trades make no sense. I agree with your first paragraph, and disagree with your second. But happy days lie ahead!
