It will focus on the current treatment of customers in closed funds. What action could the regulator take? The regulator stresses that its probe is “discovery work”, which means it hasn't found problems yet. If it does find malpractice, it has powers to intervene on exit charges, but it cannot ban them altogether. Might I be in line for a compensation payout? It is unlikely. The regulator says that the action it could take might involve paving the way for customers in funds with high exit fees to be switched into lower cost funds.

Having read the DT article listing the bad practices and having experience of the "Norwich Union" both as a fund holder and employee, I don't think they have too much to worry about regards this investigation.

Does anybody else think that some news from the budget leaked early and knocked the price last week? No other explan ation I can think of.

So we'll have 1 share for every 400 that we have now and it should be worth £5.60 right? But my past experience of penny share consolidations is that the price is back to pennies again after a very few months, only turkeys would vote for this!

15.03.2012 The Trust announces that its Investment Manager, Alpha Real Capital LLP ("ARC"), today purchased 3,000,000 ordinary shares at 6p per share. This transaction represents 2.6% of the issued share capital. Following the purchase ARC will own 7,400,000 ordinary shares. Let's hope they know something we don't! .

Just offering this as something of general interest perhaps. Found this site myself a while ago but have never meet anyone else who has heard of it. Been following my holdings on it now for more than a year and they are predominantly right, about 80-90% on my stocks. Must keep some proper figures I keep telling myself but always seem too busy although each page shows past recommendations and cumulative profit. OsullivanB.....I agree with what you say about the uncertainty surrounding the EuroChem situation, but it won't only be big investors that impact the price The MM's will read the RNS before we do and expect them to increase the price immediately.

Don't want to spoil anybody's fun here but more than once when I was younger I bought stuff that was still going down only to discover too late that the MM's (and others) have their ears closer to the market than me! My view now is that it's better not to buy at 37p and watch it keep going down to 27p, but perhaps to just miss the bottom and buy after the news at 39p on the way up!

5 minutes later and I can buy at 40.74p and sell at 40.83p
