100% with you on BHP, I would not rule anything out at this stage. Jurisdiction has just got a big tick up, minerals high value and getting higher due to unstable financial world, global debt is out of control, gold standard is about to be a reality imho

How anyone can rule out any other major miner baffles me, Solgold and all that it owns could be transformational for a major or combined majors if they took it on, 25-50 years plus, that’s not including regionals, this could be a Pandora’s box to the right winner

I’m not writing Solgold down for pennies, nor should anyone here in my opinion.

China should come back with a much improved offer, imo around 60 to 70p if they really are serious, but that won’t win it, we shall see

Diverse book is a fact for every company that has ever been put on a stock exchange, how many has been bought out by big companies? How many were won in a bidding war? How many was a hostile takeover?

That’s a good post, some many little pieces of news happening here and there, but once you stick it all this news together, it’s starting to look very positive and has to get things going here a lot faster imo

We all agree that the 26p bid was never going to win anything, so why the bid and why now?

My only conclusion I can offer is to tempt the opposition to make their bids, was it to see who are they up against bidding wise and how much will they need to go on to win

Personally I believe the Chinese want this big time, my reasons are the mineral wealth here is great. It’s another strong foot hold in South America, the infrastructure required here for these mines is right up the Chinese capabilities, Brics will want to consolidate Ecuador away from the North Americans

The South has had it’s belly full, just look at the Venezuela fiasco and who’s backing them, it’s a very political thing here and no one wants to lose it, this may very well play into our hands value wise.

Just my opinion, but definitely more to this than meets the eye, gla

Can you give me your honest opinion on BHP and Newmont, they paid more for their shares, they still hold their shares after some years, do you think they will not bid for Solgold?

Their shareholders would go mental if they had held and just rolled over, to let the biggest holder of tenements with a hell of a lot of potential, then a tier 1 mine with an open pit nearby to get early payback?

There is so much upside to our holdings it’s hard to elaborate the whole thing, it’s a lifetime building future for some major here, who would not want some of this?

When you sit and look at all that’s held and a country open for investment which it really needs, you’d need to be an absolute loon not to go all in for us, not because I’m a shareholder, it’s because it’s all here in one company in one country, just a win win imo
