Last announcement was 10 days before the stop date, so I guess we'll hear something around next Thursday if the stop date isn't going to be met. Unless it all goes through, which would be fantastic, I wouldn't expect anything before.

It's the farmout that is dependant on the licence extension, not the other way around. Or is that what you meant to say? They have already signed the binding agreement, they just need to meet the criteria to complete the farmout and the license extension (not dev license) is one of those.

I don't play those games like you frank and I'd think everyone here wants this to go up. You'd be mad to short it in the current situation.

Oh come on drewky, what 'news' did you bring? That things will move forwards asap when the farmout completes and the stop date is march 31st? As you said it's in the governments hands so for starters that date is completely arbitrary and even if met, there is a bit longer to wait until things can move due to weather. That can be described as 'asap' but exclamation marks along with march 31st stop date seem a bit rampy when you consider we are probably looking at August for spud. You actually encourage negative posts with your overly optimistic views. I am actually still positive even though we find the company in a poor position waiting for the government to do whatever it is they are. I wonder if we will ever be able to trace the use of the last fund raise to reinterpret 2d and plan for 3d? Until that farmout is agreed, things are not great drewky. I think it will happen and see considerable upside when it does.

And to add, I doubt the march long stop will happen and for the same reason I'm not too fussed as long as the weather window is met.

Drewky, although I started it with a but, it was actually a fact. I wasn't saying anything about earthquakes :) They can't get the drill to site until after the rainy season.

But as you know Drewky, they wont be able to move the rig to site until after the rainy season at the end of May and the last time it took 6 weeks (from memory) to move it from nt1 to 2 and I don't think that included setup and testing. So maybe August for spud?

Hardnose, they seem to have cut back on the website in general. They've actually created a new section for APT but its very bare and seems to have their previous mission statement on there with nothing specific to Tanzania or Aminex.

Absolutely agree crusty. The government will make things happen when they are good and ready and aminex have no control over timescales. Thank god they did the last raise to keep the lights on, no sorry, to reinterpret the 2d and 'plan' for 3d. I just hope the demand comes in as forecast but that's a chicken and egg. The government need to wake up and truly back their plans for a middle income economy.

I'm not sure about that dunder. It's public knowledge that the farmout is progressing with contingencies to yet be met. Until those contingencies are, it wont move forward.

Totally agree northern, although don't forget that the farmout means APT can crack on with the drilling, not aminex. Still waiting to see a deliverable from them since nt2. A lot to prove once this farmout saga or ntorya in general is decided.

I don't think there is any bargaining position with the government CPerk. Just like the UK it would be holding a gun to it's head. They will issue the license when they are ready to do so. If anything that leaves the zubairs with an opportunity to bargain with aex. I doubt that will happen but aminex are the ones in the weakest position right now.
