In many cases after losing the stay application cases are settled but the majority of settlements come during the disclosure period.

Application for a stay pending appeal

This is a separate request asking the court to pause the main proceedings while the appeal is heard.

The court can grant it or refuse it.

Theres an appeal if they wish.

Then they have to apply for a stay to appeal the court can grant it or refuse it. There is no certainty chbs.

An eventual appeal doesn't necessarily slow the proceedings down. :)
