Makes no real difference but it just so happens they stopped in gas layer as the rig’s depth was maxed out and the only way to find out the true size of the asset is to reach the full extent of the pay zones. Personally I wouldn’t mind if they started the drill off from scratch, they have the funds and they know it’s worth going for.
