based accounting concept of prudence my assumption is that the market now assumes the contract is gone.

However what confuses me is that the directors seem to believe it will come in. They are hardly giving a plea in the the press release for the order to be signed so the mention of it at all suggests to me they have a more than 50% chance it will be filled. I see no reason why is there is a material doubt not just to leave it off and not offer more jam tomorrow as investors hate that.

On balance it seems the signing will take place and the the direction will change.

This has been a great trader for me over the last 2 years but having reduced my holding from 100k shares to 20k shares (I play in 10k/20k tranches I worked my way back to a sub 36p average cost when the price in Sep was 93p.

Thought I was the bees knees here, a trading share and a good move up and down giving opportunities.

I have followed this company for many years but made the mistake of adding on the way down from 63p 46p 33p 21p with a few trades that were profitable but am underwater here for now unsurpisingly and need 26.85p so not too bothered.

15p 12p will add and get average below 20p but perhaps we have bottomed already.

Guess those with a large loss do not see a point in selling and many buying recently are waiting for a drop to average down resulting in few trades.

At least it is out there so average down it is.

Feeling is the market was expecting this given the recent sp movement.

That said, I cannot see the benefit of management not kitchen sinking the contact given the low sp so there must be a belief that it will come to fruition as a drip drip of bad news would be worse.

I will remain optimistic and lower my average given the opportunity.

I sell on spikes and hold until something like this happens, but low sell high. Yes it is a strategy and yes I trim all the time but such a move today out of the blue I exited in full. Will buy back in lower.

107p 80p 50p 40p 33p to 21p in a matter of weeks. Certainly a great price to average down with, but what is behind the incredible drop.

As I say sentiment driven, no doubt with a correlation coefficient that amplifies the moves.

there is a correlation on sentiment and global prices of O&G - the higher prices added the windfall tax burden here so to ignore it is folly.

seems the market agrees so should give more confidence to add on weakness.
