Further research shows that the new company QBuzz ordered the above-mentioned 3 Optare Solo EV. It also took from Mercedes Citaro 138 new buses!! And 17 Van Hools. Both Euro VI standard. A bit disappointing only 3 EVs given the total bus order. Hopefully a start, if others see the EVs and take a liking to them.

Does anyone know of any examples of bus manufacturers also becoming bus operators? Either as parts of a single company or as a joint venture.

Year to date Optare is down 17% whilst buses in total down 10% (not 4%). Apologies.

29 units. Coincidentally the same as Optare's fig for last Nov. Buses in total up 20% for Nov. Wrightbus reg 70 this Nov and Zero last. As said before, I believe they are working in partnership with ADL or Volvo. Can't remember which. Year to date, Optare is down 17%, whilst buses in total down 4%. Again as said before, reflects Optare's limited product range. The 8.5 to 12 t range.

I have e-mailed company recently but they politely said that they weren't prepared to give info on exports to an individual. They just said that any news would come through press releases. I also e-mailed TorquePR, the current PR co. They haven't replied yet.

Stagecoach's new £1.7m fleet for Aberdare. 17 solos. Can't find a press release for this. Come on Torque, what are we paying you for? Seem cheap at £100,000 per bus?

If you are referring to trades recorded on this board. The reason many trades come through incorrectly is: lse works out the mid point of bid and ask. Currently (.23+.25)/2=0.24. It assumes (rightly or wrongly) that every trade below mid pt is sell and every thing above is buy. It appears not to know the true type of trade (buy or sell). If the trade is spot on the mid pt it often identifies in grey, though today there seem to be some trades on mid pt which are sells. As you bought below the mid pt. lse identified as sell. What I cant get my head around is, for every seller, at any price there must be a buyer. This I guess could be MM. If true, what are the MMs going to do with all the shares they are accumulating? Would anyone explain this to me, please I sold half my smallish holding a couple of weeks ago at a loss. Starting to worry about the other half. I was giving Ope another year to improve, but do they have that long?

Came out on 19th Dec last year. Don't imagine they will be great. UK regs (aka sales) down 30% on same period last year (source: SMMT). No definite news on exports (source: lack of - Optare). Debt still high. Have sold half my holding at loss. Will give it another year, as they say they are expanding project range. But they have said that before. There is supposed to be an order to be filled by mid Dec for Netherlands. But that is in not in this reporting period. Although if comes to pass could get a mention in results.

10x ave volume over 3 mths. Vast majority appear to be buys.

Only 15 units, mainly because growth is in >12t single deckers and also in double deckers. I presume Solos and Versas are 8.5 - 12t. Very, very poor in my opinion.

.. but why? Yesterday a reported 1m sell. Today it appears that sells outstrip buys, but SP up. Any ideas?

... for the EV Versa. See PR on website. If they are that good, let's get out and sell them! I am concerned that BYD (China via Netherlands) are going to be a hot competitor for EV orders.
