When you are no longer in lockdown it is all about tracking and tracing to contain the virus. The wonderful thing about the antibody test it will reduce the population that needs to be tracked as long as the app holds the data.

Hi Soup, afraid it’s is a lot of supposition. I am basing the timeline on the length of time it took to get clinical test results for NXP002. Here is the comment in The RNS dated 25/11 relating to NXP004“ Placing proceeds will be used to fast-track research and development activities, generating data to secure patent protection and further validate the envisaged applications, thus supporting commencement of commercial discussions.”
There are some flaws in the timeline the first is the patent will have to be secured before the data is released and the second is we do not know how many labs have been redirected to Covid.

With 4 we will be due clinical results from Newcastle Uni in June however we do not know if their lab has been redirected for Covid which may or may not cause delays. Anyway that prompted me to think about NXP002 and I wondered whether the Japan company decided to replicate the Newcastle tests who knows but they will be committing a shedload of Wonga.

Just had another read of the consortium RNS and it says once the design freeze is reached design will be shared with each party of the consortium. There is no need to issue a further RNS to say this has happened.

Antibodies take a couple of weeks to develop in the body after having an infection. So I think the govt are not wanting too much discussion at the moment because journalists are not patient and then just accuse anyone of being negligent. The fact they counted 3000 antibody tests in the number of tests performed yesterday suggest the test is ready but they need the antibodies to have formed. My own view is the 3000 were those trialling the tests but were included to reach the 122k number.

BBC Commentary that 5 new drugs being tested, one HIV and one malaria and drugs for dealing with inflammation of organs in an attempt to not cure Covid but to improve the patients condition to give them a better chance to recover. Tests are being carried out throughout the country and results are due to be reviewed by Oxford Uni sometime in June.
