You can do the math but its a long process. Get the xls from the FCA, historical tab look up the price then work of volume (based on % free float 269,747,239 I think its FF and not shares in issue? ) on each short increase. Then calculate a rough median price for all of the short purchases for each fund by totaling price and volume...few holes there but worth a go

You miss the point. You wont be able to get in at 500p if the results are as good as the analysts predict (and most people who know this stocks fundamentals)

If you have direct access to an RSP you can buy off book like that. Probably not big enough for a WVAP order

Things are seldom as bad as people expect if the company is fundamentally sound like PFC and this fear is what the shorts feed off

Not enough liquidity to satisfy all buy orders in post market auction (forms the UT). One of my orders only got a partial fill (@111) and a volume of 150,000 @ 111 wasnt fill it all....never seen that before

I will be interested to see if the shorts have increased today. As Lee says the market is bad in general, given the strong possibility of a lockdown extension. Its worth nothing the last time shorts increased was the 4/1 on the eve of the lockdown announcement.
Either way its nothing to do with performance of MCRO, they are playing off fear
