so here we go then. I just think there is too much in the pipeline (sic) not to go for it. G is my largest single share investment now - but haven't bet the house on it. feels asymmetrical I can afford to lose whats in there but whilst this won't seriously multibag from here I do realistically see £5 in it even if only one or two things pan out from the potential projects. If nothing pans out we will still bumble along the bottom for a few years based on current production. Plus I see the announcements of the last few months very positively even if the market doesn't.

That said, I'm still toast in the Friday club this week

fortunately the bulk of my planned top up money got snarled up in some paperwork at the bank so didn't clear until 5pm. so will be deciding tomorrow morning whether to execute during Casino hour or wait for a bit more - whatever I do the snafu saved me be £300 quid down this evening so can't be bad

Just topped up (pension) already £30 down - c'est la vie

will wait a bit and see how the casino unfolds before putting another batch in later

So I'm just waiting for this to pop - and I'll be on 225 until it gets there which wont be too long.

the trick is that the narrative is designed to have you taking the £2 off the £30 wheras in fact you are adding the £2 to the £25 the manager has and then the £1 each of the men got back. Thus the narrative excludes part of the story about division of returns - very clever to post this riddle of a GENEL thread wher we have been wondering where the money has gone only to find its stuck in the hidden management layer :-)

Hello back again - sorry been bit not thinking about it just let it get on with itself. I still don't see a reason to rise if it didn't after the announcements so I'm going for 195. Got a 10K investment decision shortly when my 2018 bonus comes through at month end which is nice - but might have been easier at 150 - will prob still do it if it hasn't surged too early

Well I say - I think that makes it two in a row!. So obviously will stick to my winning numbers 219. Which a bit less glass half full than last week, more of a same again. Nice to see things moving inthe right direction, although my 525 by end of year is looking a little ambitious. Quite diasppointed with some of th informed analysis suggesting we are stuck in a rut for a few months, but that is what it feel like.

So for next week that gives us

Well thank you all - I only wish I was posting in happier circumstances. I feel like a trophy hunter who's bagged a wrong un. If you might describe Genel at £3 as "share candy", at £2 it is definitely "share broccoli"

My only consolation, is that it stays at this level for a while I will be able to top up big time when my bonus lands at the end of the year, and if it shoots back up - well that's good for the ones I have

I hope this decline hasn't hurt any of you too much, I suspect it is just trying our patience at the moment. So I'll end this mini speechette hear and declare that I think this week will see recovery of some of the recent losses and I will like to declare next weeks challenge open with a glass half full of 219 again

I will believe it when I see it - but don't get me wrong I'm still in deep - just long term. Just not expecting a breakout anytime soon. Delighted to be proved wrong. I'll wait until we are past casino hour this morning before assessing today's market action

Very interesting. I think it shows what some posters have been saying that whilst Pesh is a monster - in reality it is only just putting us back to heyday of production (unless I am reading the graph at the end wrong). And that a real break out would be contingent on some new new news - hence I think that the current is not quite a dead cat bounce but certainly not a live cat break out - hence I retain pessimism but with an elevated threshold !

Its always OK to burn Boris but that editor was just being a d*ck - especially as Waitrose - almopst uniquely - is making a singnificant effort to focus onthe booming Vegan sector (declared Vegans quadrupled in last 12 months) so he was sacked for being off message as well as being deeply unpleasant (ex-etonian spot the link!)

Pessimistic this week - and I think pressure downwards under £2 will continue but expecting some supportso 199p . Still holding, but not looking a lot at the moment - its not good for our souls

confident but not overly so so a middling estimate. first entry for a while its all a little depressing. now have set myself a time limit on my investment - Dec 2025 when my 7 yr mortgage fix @2.1% finishes :-). We might have some news on the gas by then
