And in contradiction to the invariable rule of G - it hasn't popped down an equivalent amount today. So that's good as well. But Oil Price is mid 50's so I'm hoping we will get back to multipliers nearer 3 for a bit of a boost

Thanks a bundle Hydrogen, I had £5K hanging over from selling out of GGP thanks to your earlier tip, and still very much liking gold, I decided to speculate (without really doing my own research so completely my bad) in SOLGOLD.

Its now down 10% since Monday where my alternative for my non-G Money was Lloyds is about 5% up. C'est la vie.

Still up on the week thanks to LLOY, but I could have had 10% more SOLG if timing was better.

So if it makes you feel better a serious investor @wshak1 (on twitter) who was on Motley fool before they trashed the forums has just pulled the trigger on RDS. He has a lot in GENEL bonds (less so equity) so although he seems to specialise in the technical aspects of bonds rather than being specifically an oil expert but he seems to make money out of all the stars and dogs

Off Topic - but I have been reading the LLOY share chat, and OMG so much bickering and ramping/trading talk. I've never put anyone on filter here, but on LLOY my list is about a dozen and currently the top 40 entries are filtered, and from 100 only 10 were of substance. Which is a long way round of saying thanks for all the sense and info that I get from here. I'm a bit lighter in G than I have been for a while, but I'm still here for the long hall, and will be back when we have Covid and Brexit out the way

well thank you and apologies for the delay in response - been taking advantage of the sun and the garden + 1 or 2 trips to the fridge for liquids it has to be said.

Obviously being the lowest entry in this competition has been a winning strategy for a whilw but one that always comes with a sour taste. I was really energised by Bunks big surge day and then watching it erode away hasn't been pleasant.

I have to say I can't really see much grounds for optimism, but this has always been about the potential not the day to day operations, so I just want to wish all of you good luck, we are mainly here for the duration which I see CoVid as pushing to the right - so in that sense a bit of a value trap but no more than anything else. I did shave a little of my Genel pot (about 10000 shares into LLOY and GGP as I got a little nervous) and I think Gold may have peaked but is at least at the equivalent of $100 OP so production may run very profitably for a while

that's enough - onwards and sidewards :-)

If I may I will stick with 144 for the next competition if there is one - although I suspect we will not be flat

Perhaps rashly on the internet the Mark part of my username is my name, the 888 is Chinese good luck, and the man is a lack of originality when Mark888 was taken up on another forum so I just added man. A bit literal, but about from liking Genel and GKP before that I am relatively unadventurous. Unlike some of the larger than life characters we have on here. I was tempted with Mark555man because in Thai 5 is pronounced Ha - so when my Thai friends wants to go lol he goes 555. But in investing I prefer luck to laughter :-)

I was swayed a little by Hydrogen so I put my last G divi's into GGP - and then to balance that rashness I also plumped some of my more conservative fund into LLOY. Even so Market Man would have me fall foul of trade descriptions

Not so confident, but leaving it to run. O/T Was very tempted by LLOY made some money back in 2011 but GKP burned most of that

Interested to see what the next few days - I had a feeling something was brewing as even though the announcements and predictions have been in place for a while sometimes jam tomorrow, is actually tomorrow. I can't decide if its a takeover (us or them) or news about assets - gas or Somaliland.

My money (ha!) is on gas news

mmmm - now I'm feeling a little foolish - wan't expecting such a downturn, although to be fair the market seems a bit spooked

Somewhat to my surprise, we have only drifted a little off the peak reached last week. I was expecting a larger fall back. Gives me some confidence that there is support at this level.

An interesting few weeks ahead I think, and with business heading back (too early or not) I think a positive few months lie ahead as well

Nice start to the day - almost like they want the price to be high when all our divi's come in at the end of the month

doing well today - around my break even for G (but still nursing losses from GKP - I swapped just before the latter restructured). Need to get back to £2 to recover that

Hi there - dug out my logins as I was interested in this articles thesis around oil price at $80 or above being lethal to presidents seeking re-election. So I took a shot at the Friday club as well for old times sake.
