I would expect to hear more on funding early New Year once the Glencore shares have been ratified and issued.

It gets around Glencore’s reluctance to work on greenfield sites.

An email I received from Martin Fewings at Glencore last year. “Given our preference to avoid the many development risks that attach to greenfield project development, we are more likely to be sellers of these projects.”

Win win for Glencore, let’s hope we are making moves in the background.

China's biggest iron ore suppliers are optimistic about Beijing's plans to roll out policies and stimuli to buttress the steel industry as the country faces economic headwinds and a struggling property industry.

Last week, Beijing introduced more of such stimulus policies including an additional 300 billion yuan ($44 billion) in quotas for infrastructure spending and investments by banks — on top of the 300 billion yuan already announced at the end of June.
