You are wrong mate Terraplane yes openreach is owned by BT as i have said but it stands as its own company but owned by BT , trust me i worked for BT on the tv and openreach controls the net work infastructure. Open reach staff / managers dont answer to BT Manager s , its run seperatly , it does lease networks to to mobile and intenet companies but at the end of the day open reach has all the cards . Eample if a Ariel or network goes down in with ie . ee or vod etc well its Openreach that goes to the mast and fixes it and any other exchange boxes fibre lines etc . Hope that makes sence bud

Your forgetting openreach owns most of the network infrastructure for uk. I think kcom still own parts of humberside and virgin has its own network , as well as city group , so Openreach is a company in its own right BT still owns it
