Latest poll says Sinn Fein is forging ahead with 30% and Fine Gael and Fine Fail are falling back with the Greens on 3%. That means Ryan's days are numbered.
While Varadkar has said "no early election" they still must have one before April 2025 and when that comes Sinn Fein will be the dominant party in Government probably on its own and Ryan will be dumped.
I am sure both Fine Gael and Fine Fail know what an id*ot Ryan is but if he pulled the Greens out of the government because of a disagreement on say "energy policy" there would have to be an election within weeks but they are too scared to do that because they know their time is also numbered and they want to hold on as long as possible.
What's new when it comes to politics. All politicians want is to be elected and hang the rest. No honour among thieves sums it up.
San Leon has a 4.5 nett profit stake in Barryroe.
San Leon exchanged 30% equity in the Barryroe oil field for 30% of the equity in Barryroe aka O'Reilly.
San Leon is UK based company with registred offices at "27/28 Eastcastle Street, London, England, W1W 8DH"
If Barryroe is precluded from drilling oil and gas it is not in a position to generate profits. As such, surely San Leon have a case against the Irish Government for compensation. After, Rockhopper got their payout agreement on lost revenue so why has San Leon not got a similar demand?
Since Vevan is registered in Jersey this makes Barryroe a non-Irish company. As such it is entitled to sue the Irish government along the same lines as Lansdowne.
"It is understood Lansdowne Oil and Gas plc will be pursuing damages of close to €100 million from the Irish state"
If Lansdowne are asking €100m then Barryroe can ask for €400m for Barryroe but can also claim probably another €600m for all the money O'Reilly wasted on his "red herrings" which are also reclaimable against "future" profits but what happens when Ryan precludes you from attaining those profits?
That should really stick it to Ryan.
On founding the farmers alliance back in the spring the following comment was made:
"McLaughlin said that it is too early to say if the Farmers’ Alliance will run candidates in the next elections but the idea is not being discounted at this stage."
With an election due in the next twelve to fifteen months the possibility is that a proper farmer alliance party with potentially twenty members plus Sinn Fein would easily form a majority.
At that point Varadkar, Martin and Ryan will be for the birds and with a proper Farmer's Alliance seeing the benefit of Barryroe it will definitely be developed. The only issue is that Goodman now holds all the cards for Barryroe with the exception of the 20% Lansdowne owns and the 4.5% nett interest that San Leon owns.
So Larry and the farmers who are his bread and beef will be the beneficiaries except what we can get from Lansdowne.
We have all be scr*wed by Larry. Perhaps he will do the good think and revise the miserable 5% he promised us in his takeover.
Larry Goodman attending Ben Dunne's funeral today.
https://www.irishexaminer.com/news/arid-41278912.html
Dunne blotted his copybook some years ago, first when he was kidnapped by the IRA and the company "so it is said" paid a ransom to the IRA to set him free. Second when he went a "Bit" wild in a hotel in Florida, then when he lost control of Dunnes to his sister. Made a few bob when he set up a number of gyms.
Had some dealings with him many years ago in both business and golf. Silver spoon in his mouth from the business but absolutely useless at golf. Spent thousands on golf clubs trying to buy a game but failed miserably.
May he rest in peace and may Larry leave us shareholders a bit more than 5% of Barryroe when he pegs it.
Current thinking is that there will be a general election sometime next year, probably about November.
When that happens, the government will be a combination of either Sinn Fein and Fine Fail or Sinn Fein and Fine Gael. There wil be no place for the Greens and either combination will have enough seats to form a majority.
That will be the end of Ryan in government and hopefully he will lose his seat as well.
So the prospects for Barryroe and Lansdowne will significantly change at that stage given that Ryan will no longer be there to hold the government to ransom as he has been doing for the last four years.
Two things:
The Vevan which now owns Barryroe is "A Jersey-based company controlled by beef processing businessman Larry Goodman ". As such it is not an Irish company so it is quite entitled to sue the Irish government just as Lansdowne is entitled to sue the Irish Government under the ECT legislation as neither are now Irish.
Also, since Vevan (Jersey) has enough capital to satisfy the financial requirements of 3.5x money to satisfy the constraints currently stopping the development of Barryroe there is now nothing stopping LG from progressing the development and stuff Eamon Ryan.
A Jersey-based company controlled by beef processing businessman Larry Goodman
Even if you withdraw you are still held liable for 25 years.
Italy withdrew in 2016 but it is still being pursued by Rockhopper who have been awarded £210m - "Oil firm Rockhopper wins £210m pay-out after being banned from drilling".
So SF withdrawing will have no effect on a claim by either Lansdowne or Barryroe or both now Barryroe is "owned" by Vevan which is a Jersey company and can therefore make a claim against the Irish government being "foreign" owned.
Ryan will not have a hope of getting elected in the next Dail. He has really made a total mess of Ireland's energy and the latest report on companies and customers who have fallen in arrears with their energy bills is growing by the day.
Getting a ship will have little or no effect if the prices are so high that people cannot afford gas or electricity.
Today's article makes worrying reading for the government. If people cannot heat their houses or cook their dinners what chance have they got for survival?

Goodbye Mr Ryan and the sooner the better.
Since Vevan now own Barryroe and with LG's billions how can Ryan now prevent the development of Barryroe?
Since Ryan tried to quash the development based on the 3.5x capital requirement to develop it that is now easily satisfied with Vevan's huge funds.
I think Ryan is now between a rock and a hard place. Hopefully the rock will fall on his head.
The next Irish election will be before April 2025 and may be in November next year. That is now only a year or so away.
What is certain is that Ryan will be for the birds. Martin, at his latest Ardfheis, Irish for Party meeting, said he would not be against a coalition with Sinn Fein. Together they would definitely form a majority meaning Ryan's Greens will be out to grass and he will be a busted flush.
When they get into power you can be sure they will resurrect Barryroe because it is too valuable an asset for a small country like Ireland and by then Corrib will be even closer to being exhausted.
So, it is a waiting game as there is no way, even if LOGP decide to litigate that it will be Ryan who is on the other side defending the government.
So we will wait and I am sure Barryroe will be back on track probably by 2025.
Clued,
Sorry about that. It's OK but here is better

Clued,
As a follow up to Peter O'Toole's "revelation" here is an endorsement of it.

Ryan will get his comeuppance when he is booted out at the next election.
I see Martin is now saying Fine Fail would consider coalition with Sinn Fein which means the Greens will be for the birds.
You can be sure the next lot will not ignore the value of Barryroe. It is just a pity that a man who has so much money fails to appreciate the lot of the small man so I hope LG also gets his comeuppance one day for the injustice he has dealt to the "small" investors in Barryroe.
"Most shareholders to be wiped out in scheme"
Are some shareholders getting preferential treatment? Surely that is unfair.
At least we won't have to read Longerwait's rubbish anymore. Even that is a blessing in disguise.
Clued. The best definition I know for God is the famous scene from the film "The Ruling Class" when Peter O'Toole, a mad aristocrat was asked "How do you know you're God?" and O'Toole answered.
"It's very simple, when I pray to him, I find I'm talking to myself".

I am actually very fond of Cork and its environment. Some of the most beautiful scenery in the country having visited and holidayed there may times in the past. My favourite restaurant, for example, is Ballymaloe House, especially when Myrtle Allan was in charge. I actually lectured in Cork University for a while many years ago for my sins.
The only issue with Cork is a great place to visit and vacation but God help you if you ever decided to move there. The natives do not like "blow-ins".
I was only play acting with Longera*se as he had mentioned Bandon. Why, beats me. but that will all be in the past on Friday when we A-bandon him.
Bandon would suit you as it is part of "a" bandon "ed which is what will happen to you come Friday.
As for losing money on Barryroe, Lansdowne and San Leon can you never listen or is it you are so thick that you cannot understand.
Many moons ago I pointed out that I sold loads of each of these when they were multiples of what they are now and bought property with my "winnings". I now have my children living in houses that are worth many hundreds of thousands and a son in Australia who bought his latest house, after the one I helped him buy many years ago as a deposit, with Barryroe money, for over AU$1,000,000.
As I have said before, from 2015 on, I bought back some of each of these at peanuts because O'Reilly had gambled millions on red herrings instead of doing, what he said, back on 2012, that he would invest the money he got from Singleton and the gas fields in the Gulf of Mexico, in developing Barryroe. What a liar, just like his father.
That tells me you could either be O'Reilly or O'Sullivan with grudges like you have and you would hate anybody to make any money out of this share given how you both lost your B*LLS by playing to be the big guys.
Roll on Friday irrspective of the outcome just to get rid of you. Nothing like a bad itch that a good scratch would not get rid of.
Just to upset you Longera*se, very interesting interview by Malcolm Graham-Wood and Oisin Fanning, CEO of San Leon.
I have always held Barryroe, Lansdowne and San Leon as a combination of Barryroe field owners and one of the things not discussed is what will Larry do for San Leon's 4.5% nett interest in Barryroe.
But I see San Leon have now cleaned up the mess in Nigeria where oil robbery was accounting for up to 90% but San Leon now have a totally secure pipeline to the off-take ship where Shell takes all the oil.
So, irrespective of Friday I am sure Lansdowne and San Leon will easily compensate me for any loss from Barryroe.

"Hasta la Vista", once again, chump and don't loosen those straps on your strait jacket.
Why do you always try to justify yourself?
You were the one talking about a meeting in Bandon "We are talking about a meet up in Bandon, Co. Cork". Where did Bandon come from and why if it was not in that institution you resided. How about Mountjoy Jail or Portlaoise Prison where we could talk to you through the bars of your cell.
Who are the "we"? Perhaps we could meet in Castlebellingham and invite Larry to the meeting or perhaps we could meet up in one of his abattoirs and hang you off a meat hook. You would probably taste better as a bit of steak in comparison to the gibberish you talk.
And does anybody help you to write your gibberish as it must be difficult with all those straps in the strait jacket keeping you tied down.
At least by Friday it will be "hasta la vista" irrespective of the outcome. Anything is better than listening to your drivel even Larry's 5%.
