I have long believed Miliband’s ( sorry can’t bring myself to cuddle him as Ed) end game is revenge on our oil and gas industries for the closure of the mining industry.

Tariffs through the roof, withdrawal of intelligence sharing, cross pond cooperation dumped, military technology sharing binned, laser focus on free speech or the lack of it, ‘ Special relationship’ scrapped and effect will be to re enter EU. Yes, why not, socialism is the answer.

There is a school of thought which suggests the eagerly awaited budget will benefit from scrapping net zero, now is not the best time to axe another hard left minister, but red box time might be.
