Why would Tesla want to avoid the court case?

The July trial was a matter of 2-3 weeks away when the witness snuffed it. The trial was all set. CAP-XX hand is no weaker / stronger than it was at that point. It's only because the court dates are full that we have to wait until December. If they hadn't agreed a deal 3 weeks before the previous trial date there's no reason to assume they will now. Both sides were set for trial.

It's a fantasy in your head that Tesla would want to buy CAP-XX. There are no synergies between CAP-XX and Tesla and the patents involved are now public domain.

Ferrari technical sales has partnered with CAP-XX to bring supercaps to the California market. I would have though that's worthy of an RNS.

Yes - Tesla are suing the company for royalties of 5% of revenue. Tesla first offered CAP-XX the chance to license the patents but CAP-XX declined because they believe the case has no merit. Given CAP-XX revenue is tiny it's hardly worth getting your knickers in a twist over (which you appear to be). It seems you are unduly worried about a company you're not even invested in.

I don't think so. If you say they are earning in the region of £100k per year salary - if they are doing their job well these sales will be in addition to what is already forecast by the brokers, so if anything it will accelerate the move into profit.

Very difficult to buy in size, taken my first position here.

The case is ongoing but will be resolved this December.

They got rid of the Aussie and installed a new CEO based in Europe, who has been implementing new sales positions with widening scope. Results are out end of this month so we should get a clear picture of what the new CEO has planned.
