I've just had a half hour call with HL passed through to 4 different people and I 'think' I know what will happen to my shares now.

They will be removed from my SIPP and put into a fund and share account. According to HL it doesn't matter whether they are on CREST or not - they will just remain as an entity in that account.

The downside being that if they relist at £1 there would be massive capital gains tax to pay.

However I'm still not sure how accurate this is because HL have also said that they do not allow shares to be converted into paper certificates, so then in that case how can they still be held in the account.

Thanks to the poster on ADVFN, according to the circular shares will also be withdrawn from CREST.

So we will have physical certificates.

I'm unsure what this means with regards to the shares being in a SIPP. Since you can't withdraw shares from a SIPP until pensionable age, can we still hold certificated shares inside a SIPP?

I will phone HL on Monday to find out.

I was just investigating this. They want to remove prememption rights (option number 3) which means that we will be diluted when new shares are issued.

I voted against this. It's just not cricket.

Interesting, that was their downfall last time - not listing the correct inventor on the patent. Learning from their mistakes although surprised it's takem this long to realise.

It's because it's Aquis. The brokers don't give live prices for some reason. Same for me on HL, it goes straight to Fill or Kill for both buy and sell. I always have to submit NT even for small amounts but always get a good price.

Hmm good point vanilla. I also wondered why a business update made no mention of trading. So we should still be due an actual trading update at year end.

If Cap-XX can make the battery technology work that could end up totally eclipsing supercaps. That would be ironic but I wouldn't be complaining!

The assett sale, when confirmed, should instantly bump the share price up by at least 100-200%.

Material and significant must mean in the several millions - so it completely derisks the company and removes the cloud of further fundraises.
