The message may be for both ER and LG (both playing hardball?). Possibly on the advice of Ashhurst. Now let us have details of the claim before the end of the week, which must have been worked out by now after six months.

Has LG any reasonable alternative to a deal with LOGP? I hope LOGP are not tempted to overplay their hand if negotiations are ongoing at present. A modest extra 5% of the cake in consideration of LOGP’s special position should be sufficient and acceptable to both sides?

Who would sell 6% of LOGP at this exciting juncture - or is there more to this than meets the eye? Any ideas out there?

It is not just that LG can afford to be generous in the circumstances, he will have to be to get LOGP on board. It is my understanding that being delisted in no way precludes LOGP from initiating or concluding legal action on behalf of shareholders. It is just as much a legal entity whether delisted or not. I stand to be corrected if I have got this wrong.

Would you all agree that LG would only make an offer for LOGP now if he knew for sure that the LU will be forthcoming at some stage? Of course if the LU suddenly arrived he would have to pay a lot more for it than at present in order to gain full control. There are many options for LOGP: they could be bought out, LG may now be (if he wasn’t earlier) willing to accept a RTO or go the ECT route alone if unable to reach terms with LG, always bearing in mind that an ECT claim would put pressure on the government to award the LU after all.

EUA have both a CPR and transferable licence for Nyud. That makes it very valuable and even more so if it is within 5KM of Poaz. I suggested before that may be why they referred back to the Feb 22 RNS and did not change any figures.

I agree Dattabase. 7% and 3% are still very conservative especially considering the anticipated demand for these metals in the coming years. Do your figures include WK, by the way, or are you throwing that in for free?

Dattabase, I thought you allowed only 5% for reserves in your first calculations. You have 7% here? Please check.

Is there no update on the ECT claim because no agreement has been reached with Vevan?

I did not bother to take part in the guessing game at the time but having reviewed all the guesses I reckon the best one is Musso74 with 75P+. It really cannot be much less and wisely allows for considerable upside!

In that case he has just wasted a good few years of his life. Is he that stupid? He could have retired, been more than well off with more years left to enjoy it all. He will not be forced to accept 25p - and not just because he is a stubborn old man but also because there is competition for these rare and valuable assets.

Can you imagine the look on CS’s face if Potanin or whoever said: Look, we’ll give you a good price for West Kytlim if you throw in the rest for nothing. Rather that is how CS would interpret such a preposterous offer as 25P.

Problem with LOGP at H/L now resolved.

H/L say that Key Investor Information has not been made available to them and therefore you can only sell and not buy LOGP shares through them. Can anyone confirm that you can still buy these shares in Dublin without the same problem?

Maybe CS couldn’t pull the trigger until tax and court cases were all resolved.

I believe he will give the bidders very limited time to up their game this coming January. I think he has to be bold and accept the top bid. Provided there has been genuine competition so far we can dismiss any notion that we are entering the final round with a mere 50P on the table as the starting pistol is raised. Dally on the starting blocks and you are out of the race! This will concentrate minds wonderfully, we must hope.

Even if Ryan’s demise is certain at the next election, can we afford to wait that long?

Maybe LG is prepared to wait that long, leaving LOGP no choice but to start their action right now with or without LG on board.

If they are waiting for Ryan to arrange talks they may wait a long time.

The BoD tell us no more than they are obliged to and probably for more reasons than we know. It has always been their policy. The tax position is now clear for both buyers and sellers. Therefore their stated aim of achieving a sale is more likely sooner rather than later. That is the extent of my ramping.
