I am expecting the two arbitrators to be confirmed any day now. Then 1-2 months later the chair of the tribunal and the SOC deadline 3-4 months after that. I'd say late Q4 - early Q1 then.

I think the key will be the SOC. In an interview this week Tim Foden (EML's legal advisor) was very clear on the methodology used to calculate the size of the compensation sought. Too many early-stages mining companies go for NPV before having spent a penny on their licences and tribunals don't like that.

It is important that the SOC amount does not fail the red nose test and that it does not seem to be exaggerated as it would make the case lose credibility. Foden won't go for an amount he's not confident they can get. Whatever the number it is going to be a high multiple of the current market cap though

Better take advantage of the low SP now.

We may hear any day about the formation of the arbitration panel, and that may stimulate some interest. Also, Morocco may be inclined to settle rather than embark in a long legal dispute they may lose

As an investor in both i would be happy with a takeover. The risk for EST shareholders is a takeover at these levels, way before the company had the chance to prove the size of its assets. A JV for Verkhuba would probably be better

Solid update that finally resembles a plan, cash in the bank, key stakeholders on board, new CEO and chairman --> larger investors feeling more comfortable and shorters closing.

1) arbitration plays move up in a steady and predictable way as they approach the ruling. Then they are make you rich or bankrupt. It's a good idea to accumulate early and derisk ahead of the ruling. I bought at 7-8p and didn't take any profit at 16 so now i had to sell at 4.85 or keep holding several more months

2) there are no "slam dunks" in this area. There is always risk

3) don't listen to anonymous folks who claim to have insider knowledge. They don't

4) CEOs are always confident and upbeat, it's their job. Take what they say with a pinch of salt

Having said that, i do think this could have gone differently and that the next ruling is separate and different. But it's long time away. I may come back in a few months. For now I sold out and moved the proceeds into EML (earlier stage arbitration) and EST (tiny gold explorer with huge potential)

A valuable lesson is that arbitration plays tend to move in a predictable yet slow pace as the ruling approaches. It pays to accumulate early, forget about it for several months, derisk ahead of the ruling.

EML is on the early days of its journey and a perfect opportunity to accumulate. If it stays below 2-2.5p i'll keep buying more.

Do it until you can get your hands on it until it's cheap. Once it moves it moves fast given the low market cap.

Years of p*** poor management have completely destroyed the credility of this company and its BoD. I was hoping yesterday would be a pivot point but it looks like the damage is much more profound and it's going to take a lot more to persuade funds and people with deep pockets to invest in what is being perceived as a lifestlyle company. How long are we going to stay under 7p for?

Then I need to apologise to Dan as I thought he was getting very cheap share options at the time. They are not.
