I concur with Persimmon it's not the Govt that set interest rates it's the Bank of England - Interest rates are at a historic low of 0.1% but commentators expect an 0.15% increase in the coming weeks and two additional 0.25% rises next year, bringing borrowing rates back to the 0.75% level seen before the pandemic. Last week, analysts at Goldman Sachs predicted that the Bank would raise rates in November, February and May.

Heid, I'm sorry to inform you this crash in share price over the last month or more is not due to anything global - it's everything to do with the inability UJO to progress at all locations

I am blaming no one on here or anyone at UJO, I'm the investor I make my own decisions of where I invest and the buck stops here ! that said, I can still get pi55ed off with the actions of others - decision CEO's, and others make that effect my wealth, my eggs are not all sitting in the one basket - nor do I invest what I'm not prepared or afford to lose, this is the AIM Casino of course.

I don't share often, however - it's not something strategically important but 'this share makes me sick' out all of the shares I own, this one makes me ill ! I can't believe I actually bought in to a stock that's controlled by a bunch of tree hugging, sandle wearing, history teachers - who are more interested in getting their fat faces in the press than - solving a UK wide problem.

100% agree PRATS - Bad timing, and a local council who lead from the back, they'll have left the meeting in their fat cars, be planning holidays abroad by plane or by cruising ship, have their heating up in their properties, and be the first people to complain about inflation, interest rate rises and expensive fuel - but still see importing oil as a benefit to the local community - Turkeys voting for Christmas (Idiots)

It would be nice to see some news here next week - I’d settle for 1p but would be well impressed with 10p - as would be my children

Heidi, your comments are somewhat deluded - the world produced 88m barrels of oil per day - the possible 1000 barrels per day produced by UJO is a drop in the ocean and not as critical as you make out - as the share prices slides further south you still wave the flag of success - it’s a bit like the hurricane coming and you won’t leave your house as you don’t believe it’s actually going to hit, and then you lose everything. Holding on to your stock and buying in to the drop is a hazardous strategy - do what you will but don’t drag other investors with you on your perilous journey.

He’s just doing what Private equity companies do all the time - strip the business of its assets (still owning a healthy share) and then sell the core bread and butter at the end game - Exit strategy ( make a couple of £100k on his London property and head home - job done !

The people in this chat have so many opposing views - seems to me a lot of folk have massive paper losses here - abs ramp ramp ramp - others want to get in de-ramp de- ramp de- ramp - patience needed here - that’s all !
