Almost flat finish ... some buys towards the end of day ... wouldn't be surprised to see some late buys reported ... Shows good support at these levels ... which is good

Afham ... I agree not all folk are so fortunate ... me and the missus have very low overheads as we paid the mortgage off years ago ... I was able to do so as I had a job in the nuclear industry getting paid obscene amounts of money teaching Nuclear Physics and Health physics ... I had a major health scare 3 years ago (Dilated cardiomyopathy) so decided to retire early ... The NHS were wonderful, saved my life really for which I am ever grateful and haven't looked back ... before that spent 20 years teaching in Africa and I have seen my share of poverty ... so in all I am grateful for our lot in life ... It would be disrespectful not to be ... good luck with salting your funds away, but if they get really large .... which I think they may well do I would strongly advise a tax adviser ... worth every penny

Afham ... I'm not gloating but the majority of my holdings are in an ISA and a smallish amount in a SIPP ... which is getting embarrassingly large by the week ... I've maxed out my tax free personal allowance this year so will not be drawing anything from my SIPP until the new year ... it's becoming a bit of a juggling act ... but a nice problem to have ... my main pension is in a "widows and orphans" fund and I don't plan to touch that either .... I think soon I my need an off-shore account ... xx Mafuta
