Stoney40. thanks for setting that straight ... I was laboring under the impression that SAR were involved in re-negotiating the deal. Glad to stand corrected.

I must admit that on the face of it the 737 deal was poorly orchestrated but new terms have been agreed and looks like SAR have made a reasonable deal out of a poor one. Time will tell and maybe we'll hear something soon. But I believe there is also a "get out of jail free" card written into the agreement? In the meantime the focus is on the Covid trails so 737 is back on the back-burner for now.

Nice to see blue again. Tomorrow could be interesting.

I do wish people would read things carefully. Extracts from the RNS:

SDC-1801: The UKRI-funded Covid-19 research project for SDC-1801 is expected to complete on schedule with the experimental phases finishing in June and the data analysis to complete shortly thereafter. The Company will provide a further update once the relevant data are available. As noted in the Interim Results, initial results from this research are encouraging and demonstrate that SDC-1801 reduces the levels of cytokines associated with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome in human lung cells infected with SARS-CoV-2.
SRA737: Sareum is not aware at this time of any additional updates from Sierra Oncology ("Sierra") regarding its plans for the further development of SRA737. The Company is, however, encouraged by the appointment of Mark Kowalski, MD, PhD as Chief, Research and Early Development, to focus on, among other things, the ongoing evaluation of development opportunities for Sierra's pipeline assets. Furthermore, Sareum continues to believe that the licensing agreement amendment signed in November 2020 between CRT Pioneer Fund and Sierra will help expedite the SRA737 development programme.
The Company looks forward to providing a more comprehensive business update at the time of the Full-year Results, expected in October 2021.

OK so some of the projects are put on the back burner but the SDC-1801 Covid study is on track and that's the main focus for Tim and his colleagues at the moment.

It looks like this reshuffle was done by mutual agreement and not by a coup. At least Joanne has her "foot in the door" and the new chap has a good pedigree. I don't see this as particularly bad news. Let's see how the market reacts. Mafuta
