I spoke with my Broker yesterday. Barclays. They confirmed my understanding that there is NO share consolidation with the proposals next Tuesday. Only a dilution - and furthermore they were of the opinion that the MMs have already likely factored that into the current trading price (hence why the bid went to 3p for a short period of time shortly after the announcement of the proposals/GM). Hopefully once the vote + approval is announced on Tuesday this will show signs of a recovery. Outside chance of a significant hike in the price.

....and...... in any event with Schroders & Ogston both voting 'yes' it is surely a mere formality the vote. Surprised someone sounding as if they were desperate when they called you.

Why vote 'no' to the proposals? A 'no' vote could likely mean the end of CPP. As it is, the only negative I can see is the obvious share dilution. But CPP clearly need funds and this seems a reasonably cheap way to raise funds in today's market place. Nobody is surely mug enough to invest £20million in a lost cause? No?

Read the proposals you are being asked to vote on at the GM on the 13th of this month. There is no mention whatsoever of a 10:1 share consolidation. Why would the 3 participants in the proposed Placement to raise £20 million (2 participants are existing substantial shareholders) if they were to lose 90% of their value once they trade on AIM? D'Oh.

My understanding = there is NO consolidation of your shares held........ save what the Company announcement states regarding the restructuring:- "effect the Capital Reorganisation (such that each Existing Ordinary Share is subdivided and redesignated into one Ordinary Share of 1 penny and 1 Deferred Share of 9 pence and the articles of association of the Company are amended to include the rights attaching to the class of Deferred Shares);"

I suspect they want to see an over-whelming vote in support of proposals (hence the 'threat' comment if not approved). Helps positive PR when they make further announcements and to be bullish on a speedy recovery to turning the Company around. As you say Morley - the deal is already effectively approved with certain individuals agreement.. Just now going through the formal motions. And nobody surely would inject £20million if they didn't see a return on that investment - many times over?

That's not a press story. It's exactly what the Company stated in its published RNS before Xmas.

Good post Morley. If (and I stress the word 'if') the relatively new management team are up to the task then this sp could fly. Some good sales figures published and the FSA to release the holding funds would obviously give the Company a welcome & massive booster shot to its credibility in more ways than one.

Wink, wink. Next week looks like being an extremely interesting couple of days before the market closes for the festive break.

What, with other stock........... other than CPP? Never, ever elsewhere for me. First time with CPP.

FWIW the same thing happened to me a couple of weeks back when I bought 50,000 CPP via HSBC who have been my broker for past 10 years and I've never once not seen my trade appear afterwards as confirmed on the usual financial reporting sites. So much so I found myself phoning HSBC to get them to confirm my trade had actually been executed (which it had).
