Well, I'm sitting on positions with a few of the major airlines and I'm betting they'll all double or better through the course of 2023.
As people tighten their belts due to inflation etc, its the budget airlines that will recover more quickly than the premium ones.
If anyone has a reasonable fundamental based explanation of why SPs are lower now than during lockdown then I'd love to hear it. Otherwise I'll continue with the view that these prices are exceptionally low driven by sentiment... and as that improves so will the SP.
excellent news IMO... lower costs, shared assets & facilities, more streamlined organisation, better service levels
All good for the business...
I expect there are a few middle / senior managers worried about their job security.
How can a co that goes from a 6M loss to a 90M profit in 1 year, be valued at only 38M ?
we're pretty close to the 5 year low... and have recently started paying divis again...
Bodes well to me
But look at what the brokers say

I think most of the private UK residential customers are happy... it's always the unhappy ones you hear from.
The vastly more important thing is the satisfaction levels of the big customers.... Nato, MoD, UniLever... and so on
I cant see anyone using StarLink in areas where FTTP or even a reliable copper line is an option. But that leaves quite a lot of areas, particularly outside the UK, where StarLink is the cheaper of the available options.... such as Sat Phones or private VSAT.
I don't see that StarLink represents any serious competition to BT.
strange they claim not to have a UK presence when on their website it says they do...

Either way.... anyone traveling in these uncertain times without travel insurance, needs their head looking at imo
some trades logged after the bell... does anyone know if they're buys or sells?

All I’m trying to say is that seeing Russian politicians calling for peace talks is very encouraging and suggest to me that better time ‘could’ be on the way.
Imagine 3 months from now Putin is removed (or dead), and new Russian leadership is trying to build bridges with the West. We might regret sell our asset at today’s knock down price.
Of course, it could go the other way and the Russian guy calling for peace talks yesterday could be found swinging from a bridge today.
The glimmer of hope is that someone assassinates Putin and sanctions are eased.
I hope AMC is still working on the mine plan, just in case its needed.

"Warehousing shares up until the point where you feel you have enough to win the vote"
Isn't preventing this the precise reason for the 3% limit without declaration... Clearly that can't be enforced but surely if foul play is suspected the vote can be annulled. ... or can it not?

My feeling its designed to put pressure on the oligarchs… who will put pressure on Putin. How must it feel to have your 50Billion nest egg confiscated… or the threat of that.
You’d be on the phone to your oligarch mates plotting how to kill Putin and replace him with someone with some business sense.
The sanctions and seizure sabre rattling is all fair on this front of the war… But if this actually happened then I’d expect western assets to also be seized.
