I wouldn't want to be out over the weekend...

For much of this year and last year they were only allowing clients to close existing positions and not to open new ones.

I cant claim to know the reason for this, but my guess would be the AMC price was too volatile and unpredictable for them. So my theory is that IG feel the AMC potential price movement is back within a reasonable risk band.

Either way, whether I'm right of wrong... its good news for IG clients who like AMC.

if 'analysts' armchair or not cant get the reference data correct then it really undermines any conclusions they draw...

It seems recent RNSs have all be positive... reading between the lines... all important activities are progressing nicely...

I share you concerns, we should have much more detail about what is under consideration. It seems obvious there is an deal in the making ...
It seems we will not be told the details and the bod need the authority to proceed on our behalf.
I'm sure we would all like to know more, but even in the absence of further details this can not be a good time to restrain or limit the bod.... so I've voted Yes to all motions...
Fingers crossed this is all starting to come together...

Had we actually been able to attend the EGM we might have expected a Presentation... or some sweetener to fill us with confidence...
Will we get anything more before the vote... or is it... " potential mergers, acquisitions or investments " and that's it... ?
If there is something on the table what can it not be shared with us? NDAs? Perhaps!
FAQs not updated for over a year...
Perhaps our focus should be sending questions to the company (as they suggested we do)... and hopefully we will see some clarity on the FAQ page.

on the basis of the information shared so far.... I am not in favor of releasing 1 -2 billion more shares for who knows what.
- if a major mining player would like to come out of the shadows and make an offer for 1 - 2 billion new shares at a price somewhere over current sp... then great - I'm sure we can then agree to release them
- if the bod just wish to cover ongoing funding by selling shares under marker value and thus allowing the buyer to dump them on the open market then... then I say No!
I don't buy into the " we need this authority in place as opportunities need to be seized quickly... "
"If" there is an opportunity then that is what should brought to the EGM. !
