Volume and no of trades picked up a little today which is encouraging. Still think volume needs to increase significantly for there to be signs of an imminent bid. Another day closer to finding out

Agree Mickey. The market looks to be pricing in a no deal imho. Results on Tuesday should give the SP a lift. If a TO was to materialize I think it would be starting with a 4 or 5 at the front.

I think that's a very sensible decision you have made. Taking a profit is never a wrong thing to do. I think many are blinded by talk of 60/70/80p and think it's nailed on. Nothing is certain. If those figures were likely then the SP would be nearer 40p than 30p. It's clear that the market believes a bid will be in the 40's or that AA will refinance and the SP will be hit initially. Longer term AA have a bright future as a listed company so it will be interesting to see how this pans out.

I would hardly call it stake building or Institution investing. It's less than 40k. Just a private individual that likes what they see.
No need to ramp. If the company can start to get the yellow stuff out the ground the future could be very good. The BOD just need to deliver on what they have said

I've read most of the posts today and it's fair to say lots of them are trying their best to ramp the hell out of this RNS. I've even read a tweet thinking the 15million oz were going to be extracted this year!!

I'm a long term holder so please don't think I'm trying to deramp, I'm not. First of all we need to see the yellow stuff come out of the ground. That will show the company has a bright future. We can build from there. SP wise I can see. 20/30 by year end assuming news continues to be positive

My last top up was at. 105p and would add on any weakness

Pianista, I expect that withdrawn trading update to form part of their defence if they decide to go it alone or receive a lowball offer so yes I believe they will state something in their response

PATTS, I'm happy to be wrong on the TO price. The higher the better for all of us but I'm being realistic.

Not sure I agree with that PATTS.
1. Would be dependent on your average. With the price now around 32p any hope of 50p + are probably unlikely
2. There is no way AA could do a placing to clear 2.6billion of debt. Any fund raising would be to clear the notes due in 2022 only so maybe 1 billion.
I agree that an independent AA would offer a greater return over the medium term assuming trading continued to be stable

Just read the RNS's that will come out today. That will tell you what the big boys are doing. The fact ABC converted 12 million shares Mon Tues do you think they would do that if they thought they were going to lose money?
There's still lots of games to be played before we hear from AA.

I said 64p originally and I'd be delighted with that. If a bid comes I believe it will be lower than my guess

I would chill. We've been told that the price is 40-45p from the articles. If made that seems to fit in with 30-40% premium you would expect. It's possible that it might go to 50p but I don't see much more imho. I'm looking to see how the market reacts to the company announcement due next Tuesday. This will then allow the bidders to work on prices. In the meantime there's an opportunity to pick up some shares in the market for what appears to be a decent discount.

James Bond before buying AA shares I used AA recovery on 2 occasions in the last year provided to me via my Lloyds platinum account. On each occasion I was attended 2 within 20mins. Yes 20 mins from reporting the issue. Both patrol guys were very professional and helpful with resolving the issues. Previously I used AA about 10years before that and I recall having to chase them several times. Appreciate that it might be local issues but they seemed very efficient to me. This is a recovery story which is going to take time

Looking at the last set of results in house underwritten policies bring in an average of £83 which is approx 20% more than those underwritten by 3rd parties (£68). Every little helps
