Had a brief look at this last night for a friend - lot's of people discount charts & TA but despite news & events driven volatility they can sometimes reveal helpful patterns that seem fairly robust... I haven't looked at this in depth but my first impression of the PURP monthlies raised alarm bells. Obviously past data is open to interpretation and my experience is relatively limited focusing mainly on pattern recognition. I don't have any interest in PURP even as a short (don't do shorts myself) but thought it worth flagging up here for consideration/dismissal in case anyone had overlooked the possible downside. Xan21 "I bought 11500 @ 140p....Should i sell to cut the losses!?" No one can advise you - it has to be your own decision based on your own research & risk assessment. For what it's worth I personally think there is potential to possibly more than double your money even at 140p over the long term (perhaps 12 to 18mths) if you are prepared to hold. However I also believe this ones very high risk and you could equally loose a big chunk in the coming months. As moniman pointed out PFG fell from over £30 to under a fiver (before recovering to around £6) since June this year - that gives you some idea of how the market can punish a share if things are not going well. As I've already said sub 100p here looks inevitable imho but predicting the bottom is nigh impossible. If you believe the company is basically sound (this is where the biggest question lies) and are confident of a recovery then any dip in the SP in the meantime is academic as you will be selling for the same end price regardless. I'm watching Telit closely to see how things develop but as things stand I personally wouldn't have the confidence to invest at any price until the dust settles Like I said it's your call & yours alone but very best of luck whatever you decide IMHO, DYOR, GLA etc etc

T.R.Smyth I am still very much in the process of evaluating this but agree that it seems likely to settle around 0.5p... I'm not overly convinced by the dukebox device and while I suspect it might enjoy some limited success can't see it taking off as some expect. However I was very interested to read your comments regarding TVPlayer and have the gut feeling that YOLO may well have a keen eye for a shrewd investment. T.R.Smyth "The SP is not really inflated right at the moment" I would beg to differ... imho the current SP not only factors in the speculated potential (which is fair enough as that after all is the nature of investment), but also reflects the fact that many will have seen this top the risers board and will have jumped on the bandwagon (excuse the pun!) in the hope of quickly doubling or even tripling their money in a very short space of time. As these people realise they might not even recover their initial money they will want to minimise their losses causing a further fall in the SP... No matter how good YOLO might be as a longer-term investment this kind of rainbow-chasing behaviour is inevitable with a steep rise and unfortunately the inevitable exit-frenzy results in the kind of spike we've yet again seen. Good news (or just plain volatility) might cause another brief but lower spike or two but over the coming weeks I can't see how the SP will move any other way than south... As ever it is longer-term that true value will be revealed. IMHO, DYOR, GLA etc etc

From this side of the recent spike I think the possibility of a placing is real as they will want to take advantage of the inflated SP while they can... from previous experience I wouldn't be surprised by an rns to that effect landing this week and think 0.5 would be about the highest they would try for. But who knows, we could see another spike - this is AIM after all! :-) IMHO, DYOR, GLA etc etc

moniman "If you're that confident of 100p, then maybe you should remortgage your house" No matter how low the SP might fall before the anticipated recovery I'd still consider this a high-risk punt. I can see potential for anything up to 300% over 18mths or so but equally it could fail imho DYOR etc

"It will take far more than an RNS to change things here"; Agreed, confidence has been severely knocked and while my gut feeling is that Telit is fundamentally a good company that will eventually make a full recovery with the right management, I think that we're looking at months/years rather than days/weeks. In the meantime 100p is looking increasingly inevitable - even with good news (which would likely just cause a brief spike at this stage). IMHO, DYOR, GLA etc etc

"a higher bitrate than Spotify" Only the FREE version of Spotify uses a reduced bitrate - anyone who has tried Spotify would agree it fully justifies its formidable reputation & top position in the marketplace... well worth the £10/mth subscription for 'Premium'.

You are clearly sold on this & that's fair enough, we can agree to differ if I remain unconvinced! Hopefully if the SP does well in the run up to xmas you will be able to afford one & everyone will be happy! :-)

"both of my kids (8 & 11) want to listen to music and look at you tube videos by themselves" Exactly - kids might enjoy sharing the experience with mum & dad as a one-off on xmas day but on an ongoing basis they will always want to do their own thing - particularly as their parents probably won't approve of the stuff they're into! My kids (and me for that matter) absolutely love music... Spotify is superb & once the audio is cast you can even turn the phone off & it keeps playing! ...for those who doubt the value there is even a FREE version! Kids are far more up on the latest tech than their parents - Spotify, Youtube etc through Chromecast are where it's at & I personally can;t see that changing anytime soon! IMHO, DYOR, GLA etc etc

Why would anyone spend £200 on the Electric Jukebox offering when you can get a well-proven Google Chromecast for only £30? ...If Amazon struggles to compete with Spotify for music delivery how on earth will this manage?!

I'm always cynical when directors buy shares coinciding with bad news as I suspect they might be trying to generate false-confidence & artificially prop the SP
